FRONT STRUCTURE OF SADDLE RIDE TYPE VEHICLE

A front structure of a saddle ride type vehicle includes a headlight unit, a front cowl, and a middle cowl. At a position outside the headlight unit in the vehicle width direction, an air intake portion opening to the front side of the vehicle is formed between the front cowl and the middle cowl. The front cowl includes a partition wall configured to divide the air intake portion into an upper region and a lower region. The lower region forms an inlet of an air intake path of an air cleaner. The upper region forms a first wind guide path configured to discharge a traveling wind to the rear side of the front cowl.

A front structure of a saddle ride type vehicle includes a headlight unit, a front cowl, and a middle cowl. An air outlet is formed on each side surface of a front cowl covering a front portion of a vehicle body. The air outlet is located near and on the front side of a middle position defined by the half of the longitudinal length L of the front cowl. Left and right air inlets are formed near a headlight provided on the front surface of the front cowl. A running wind is introduced into the air inlets, passed through the inside of the front cowl, and discharged from the air outlets. The running wind flowing inside the front cowl is disturbed by the running wind discharged from the air outlets, thereby separating the running wind from each side surface of the front cowl.

An air outlet is formed on each side surface of a front cowl covering a front portion of a vehicle body. The air outlet is located near and on the front side of a middle position defined by the half of the longitudinal length L of the front cowl. Left and right air inlets are formed near a headlight provided on the front surface of the front cowl. A running wind is introduced into the air inlets, passed through the inside of the front cowl, and discharged from the air outlets. The running wind flowing inside the front cowl is disturbed by the running wind discharged from the air outlets, thereby separating the running wind from each side surface of the front cowl.

An air-cleaner structure of a saddle-ride vehicle is provided with an air-cleaner case arranged between a seat and a head pipe located in front of the seat. The air-cleaner case is provided with a bottom half and a top half. The bottom half is arranged in a space surrounded by a rear face of the head pipe and a pair of left and right main frames extending from the head pipe toward the rear of the vehicle. The top half is situated above the main frames. The top half is provided in a vertical two division structure. A dividing surface of the vertical two division structure of the top half is inclined in the vehicle-longitudinal direction. An air-cleaner element is mounted along the inclined dividing surface.
