Footrest system for a snowmobile having snow evacuation
11511820 · 2022-11-29 · ·

A footrest system for use on a snowmobile. The footrest system includes a footrest that extends from a first proximal end to a second distal end. A fender covers a proximal portion of the footrest to define a toe pocket. A snow evacuation bore passes through the proximal portion of the footrest and the fender. The snow evacuation bore is configured to pass snow out of the toe pocket and through the footrest and fender.

VEHICLE WITH TEXTURED FOAM THAT SIMULATES HUMAN FINGERPRINTS
20220371175 · 2022-11-24 · ·

A section of (cured and non-liquid) textured foam includes at least a portion of a foam-upper-surface that substantially resembles a look of a human fingerprint for a purpose of providing enhanced grip traction between the at least the portion of the foam-upper-surface of the textured foam and a hand or a foot of a user of the textured foam. Disposed opposite of the foam-upper-surface of the textured foam may be an adhesive backing for attachment to a diverse variety of exterior surfaces where improved grip traction is desired. Systems and methods for making such textured foam that substantially resembles a look of a human fingerprint may utilize a heating means and a compression means. Such textured foam that resembles the look of a human fingerprint may be located on an upper surface of a vehicle and/or on an exterior surface of a handle to minimize against slippage.

Balancing vehicle and control method therefor

A balancing vehicle includes a wheel, a bracket, a frame, a shock absorbing member, pedals, a control rod, and a handle. The bracket is fixed to an axle of the wheel. The frame is slidably connected to the bracket through a slider fixedly connected to the bracket, so as to allow the frame to slide relative to the bracket. The shock absorbing member is disposed between the frame and the bracket, and is configured to cushion relative movement between the frame and the bracket. The pedals are fixed to the frame. The control rod is configured to move back and forth in a direction of travel. The balancing vehicle accelerates when the control rod is pushed forward in the traveling direction, and the balancing vehicle decelerates or retreats when the control rod is pulled backward in the traveling direction. The handle is coupled to a top of the control rod.

Three-wheeled tilting vehicle

A tiltable vehicle is configured to transform between an autonomous mode and a rideable mode by pivoting the handlebars and steering column of the vehicle about a pitch axis. In the autonomous mode, the steering column is folded back toward the chassis and a tiltable chassis of the vehicle is prevented from tilting. In the rideable mode, the steering column is unfolded and the chassis is free to tilt. In some examples, a tiltable vehicle includes features beneficial for vehicle-sharing, such as parking devices or a basket. These features may be included on any suitable vehicle and are not limited to use on transforming vehicles.

Self-stabilizing skateboard

A self-propelled, one-wheeled vehicle may include a board having two deck portions each having a concave front footpad configured to receive a foot of a rider, and a wheel assembly disposed between the deck portions. The concave front footpad has a rider detection sensor in the form of a membrane switch conforming to the shape of the footpad (e.g., facilitated by one or more slots formed in the membrane switch). A motor assembly drives the vehicle in response to board orientation and rider detection information.

CUSHIONED FOOTPAD WITH REINFORCING SUPPORT STRUCTURE
20230054949 · 2023-02-23 ·

A footpad for a self-balancing vehicle comprising a low durometer elastomeric material body for enhanced ride comfort and a support structure comprising at least one stiffer reinforcing member having at least a portion embedded in the elastomeric material body and in close proximity to the elastomeric material body edges for improved footpad response and fixation integrity.

Motorized platforms

Motorized hub assemblies for use with platforms and the corresponding motorized platforms are presented. At least one of the hub assemblies can be a motor and can contain an internal motor to propel the platform when activated. In some embodiments, the motorized platform has two sets of motorized wheels or two sets or motorized treads for differential rate maneuvering. In some embodiments, different base platforms are mounted to a single set of wheels or a single tread to provide a sporty style ride. A handlebar can also be implemented for greater stability. In all cases, there is no requirement for an electronic stabilization platform.
