Hand-tool grips
A hand tool having hinged nipping or cutting blades and handles that are squeezed to effect the cutting or nipping action, at least one of the handles being profiled in cross section to accept and retain a slide-on cushion.
System and method for providing targeted ablation of parathyroidal tissue
Targeted ablation of parathyroidal tissue is provided through hyperthermia adjuvant therapy. An in situ localization of parathyroidal tissue is obtained. A temperature-sensitive adjuvant is instilled into the parathyroidal tissue. Hyperthermia is therapeutically induced within the parathyroidal tissue. Heat-inducing energy is targeted into the parathyroidal tissue, which selectively includes the temperature-sensitive adjuvant. Application of the heat-inducing energy to the parathyroidal tissue is continued over a therapeutic range. In a further embodiment, the targeted ablation of the parathyroidal tissue is provided through hypothermia adjuvant therapy with the targeted use of cold-inducing energy.
COLPOTOMY SYSTEM FOR TOTAL LAPAROSCOPIC HYSTERECTOMY
A colpotomy system includes a surgical instrument having a cutting element and a receiver at a distal end thereof and a uterine instrument. The uterine instrument has a handle operably coupled to a shaft having a balloon at a distal end thereof, the shaft extending through a retaining member to access a surgical site, the retaining member including a plurality of transmitters for transmitting at least one signal. A distance between the cutting element of the surgical instrument and one end of the retaining member of the uterine instrument is calculated to determine whether the cutting element is within a predetermined operating zone.
Three-dimensional printed bone supported sinus guide for edentulous maxillary arch
An accurate and precise surgical guide for dental procedures, especially a procedure involving a subject with few or no teeth as well as methods for making and use of such guides.
Apparatus and method for manufacturing surgical guide, and surgical guide
Provided is an apparatus for manufacturing a surgical guide that guides a cutting line formed to surround a tumor of an organ, the apparatus including: an organ modeling unit configured to model a 3-dimensional (3D) image of the organ, based on an image of a patient captured by an external imaging apparatus; a cutting line determining unit configured to determine, in the 3D image of the organ, the cutting line to correspond to a location of the tumor and an entry angle of a surgical instrument to the cutting line; and a guide manufacturing unit configured to manufacture a surgical guide that guides the surgical instrument to the cutting line in a slanting manner corresponding to the entry angle, based on the 3D image of the organ.
Percutaneous lateral recess resection methods and instruments
The present disclosure is directed to devices, kits, and methods for treating lumbar spinal stenosis by at least partially decompressing a compressed nerve root. The method can include identifying the compressed nerve root and percutaneously accessing a region of a lamina located adjacent to the compressed nerve root. The method can also include forming a channel through the region of the lamina, wherein the channel can be formed medial to a lateral border of the lamina. Further, the method can include expanding the channel in a lateral direction.
Integrated device for hair follicle extraction and implanting
The present invention relates to an integrated device for hair follicle extraction and implanting, comprising a body mechanism and a connecting mechanism, the body mechanism comprising a body supporting frame, a first motor, a transmission frame, a second motor, a clamping component, a transmission mechanism and a pushing needle, the connecting mechanism comprises a connecting head, a fixing head and a cutter head, wherein the first motor of the body mechanism controls the up and down movement of the cutter head through the cooperation of the transmission frame and the transmission mechanism, and the second motor controls the pushing needle by the rotary motion of the clamping unit, simultaneously controls the rotational movement of the cutter head through the transmission mechanism. Compared with the prior art, the invention realizes the integrated operation of hair follicle extracting and implanting, and makes the operation of hair follicle implanting more convenient.
DUAL-MOTOR CLIP APPLICATOR
A dual-motor clip applicator includes a working head, and a first motor, a second motor, a first driving assembly, a second driving assembly and a clip cartridge assembly that are provided in the working head. The clip cartridge assembly includes a clip cartridge configured to accommodate a ligation clip and a clip jaw provided on a side of the clip cartridge; the working head further includes a firing rod and a clip-pushing rod, the firing rod is connected to the clip jaw to drive the clip jaw to open or close for firing the ligation clip, the first driving assembly is respectively connected to the firing rod and the first motor, the second driving assembly is respectively connected to the clip-pushing rod and the second motor, and the clip-pushing rod is configured to push the ligation clip in the clip cartridge to enter into the clip jaw.
Intervention guidance device
An intervention guidance device (10) includes a main body portion (100) and a guidance portion (200). The guidance portion (200) has a contracted configuration and an expanded configuration. In the expanded configuration, the guidance portion (200) has a central area (201) and a closed outer edge (202). In the contracted configuration, the outer edge (202) is farther away from the main body portion (100) than the central area (201), and the guidance portion (200) is restorable from the contracted configuration to the expanded configuration. In the intervention guidance device (10), the radial dimension of the guidance portion (200) is larger than the distance between the chordae tendineae, so that an effective access path that does not cross the chordae tendineae can be established, the subsequent implantation of a heart valve prosthesis does not pass through the chordae tendineae, and the success rate of a heart valve prosthesis implantation surgery can be improved.
PROTECTIVE NASAL MASK DEVICE
The present invention relates to a protective nasal mask device which hermetically seals the nasal region of a user during an ENT procedure. The device facilitates access to the user's nose and throat using a plurality of surgical tools. The primary advantage of the present invention is to provide a nasal mask device which protects medical professionals from disease transmission during an ENT procedure. Additional advantages include a nasal mask device which enables usage of a plurality of surgical tools during an ENT procedure, a device which at the same time, prevents exposure of biohazardous waste to medical professionals.
