METHOD OF APPLYING STAPLES IN LOWER ANTERIOR BOWEL RESECTION
A method for manipulating tissue of a patient includes a surgical instrument having a handle assembly, a shaft assembly, and an end effector. The method includes positioning a tissue within a gap between a cartridge and an anvil and against a guide pin to laterally position the tissue relative to the cartridge and the anvil. The method also includes moving a retaining pin from an open position to a closed position to capture the tissue and moving the cartridge toward the anvil in a closed configuration. Furthermore, the method includes inhibiting deflection of a distal end portion of the end effector wherein at least at least one of the guide pin or the retaining pin connects to the distal end portion. The method further includes forming a plurality of staples within the tissue and cutting the tissue with a knife.
METHODS AND DEVICES FOR DISTRACTION OF HUMAN JOINTS
A joint distraction device that is wearable by a patient and user-friendly and associated methods of joint distraction. Such devices can include first and second anchors that secure portions of the patient's body proximal and distal of the joint, the anchors each being attached to a beam and a distance between first and second anchors being adjustable so as to hold the joint being investigated in distraction. For distraction of a wrist joint, the first anchor can be a finger clamp and the second anchor can be an arm sleeve. The finger clamp can include multiple finger traps. The distance between anchors can be adjusted by an adjuster, by extending the beam or by moving an anchor incrementally along the beam. Advantageously, the device is fully wearable by the patient without being attached to external components, thereby improving patient comfort, portability and ease of use.
TISSUE TENSIONING DEVICE FOR CARDIAC VALVE REPAIR
The present disclosure describes interventional devices, systems, and methods for closing a regurgitant gap in a cardiac valve. Interventional devices are configured to be deployed between two previously placed implants or between a previously placed implant and a valve commissure. The interventional devices compress captured leaflet tissue and/or apply a tensioning force along the line of coaptation to assist in closing the gap and reducing regurgitant flow through the gap.
Percutaneous lateral recess resection methods and instruments
The present disclosure is directed to devices, kits, and methods for treating lumbar spinal stenosis by at least partially decompressing a compressed nerve root. The method can include identifying the compressed nerve root and percutaneously accessing a region of a lamina located adjacent to the compressed nerve root. The method can also include forming a channel through the region of the lamina, wherein the channel can be formed medial to a lateral border of the lamina. Further, the method can include expanding the channel in a lateral direction.
Tooth implant method
An accurate and precise surgical guide for dental procedures, especially a procedure involving a subject with few or no teeth as well as methods for making and use of such guides.
TOOTH IMPLANT METHOD
An accurate and precise surgical guide for dental procedures, especially a procedure involving a subject with few or no teeth as well as methods for making and use of such guides.

Instrument For Therapeutically Cytotoxically Ablating Parathyroidal Tissue Within A Parathyroid Gland
An instrument for therapeutically cytotoxically ablating parathyroidal tissue is disclosed. A substance delivery device with which a quantity of an activator substance that is less than a cytotoxic ablation quantity threshold of a parathyroid gland can be percutaneously introduced into parathyroidal tissue is provided. The activator substance, when introduced, is not activated. An energy source device that includes a selector with which a quantity of an energy that is less than a cytotoxic ablation energy threshold of the parathyroid gland can be selected and an energy production device operable to apply the energy to the activator substance is provided. The activator substance, when introduced, and the energy indicated, when applied to the introduced activator substance, are in combination capable of cytotoxically ablating the parathyroid tissue and transforming the parathyroid gland from overproduction to non-overproduction of the parathyroid hormone in a manner that maintains non-parathyroidal tissue functions and is non-lethal.
DENTAL IMPLANTATION METHOD WITH SURGICAL GUIDE
An accurate and precise surgical guide for dental procedures, especially a procedure involving a subject with few or no teeth as well as methods for making and use of such guides.
Dental implantation method with surgical guide
An accurate and precise surgical guide for dental procedures, especially a procedure involving a subject with few or no teeth as well as methods for making and use of such guides.
