The invention comprises a truck and riding devices with a lean steering spatial mechanism comprised of rigid bodies and a single compliant body connected by joints forming a closed kinematic chain wherein the compliant body provides compression, tension, and torsional return spring forces for multi-axial functionality within the constraints of the lean steering spatial mechanism, allowing for the combined functionality of deep deck lean, improved lean steering control over a wider range of speed, improved speed stability, and full load bearing suspension. The invention has additional degrees of freedom and additional primary motions of floating and suspension.

Velocipede having split drive train

A velocipede includes a pedal crank for pedals to allow an operator to power the velocipede, and a transmission hub or component that is coupled to the pedal crank by a first chain or belt. The transmission component is located rearward of the pedal crank in the frame of the velocipede, such as under a seat position, and is further connected to a rear wheel at an output of the transmission component by a second chain or belt. The transmission has an output that is coupled to a rear wheel assembly. In some embodiments the rear wheel assembly can be mounted in a swingarm that pivots about a transverse axis defined by the output of the transmission. In some embodiments the rear wheel assembly can include an electric motor to drive a rear wheel.

Scooter having a contracting steering handle for unmanned operation

The present disclosure provides a scooter. The scooter includes a scooter body and a photographing portion; the photographing portion is mounted on the scooter body; and the scooter body is provided with an avoidance space for avoiding a photographing view angle of the photographing portion, so that the photographing portion photographs a road condition around the scooter body.

Steering apparatus for a vehicle

The apparatus comprises a rotary to variable linear converter which functions to steer a pivotable rotatable directional wheel of a vehicle. The converter comprises a driven rotatable cylinder and a rotatable pivotable friction wheel pressed against the surface of the cylinder so that they rotate together. The friction wheel is slidably mounted on guide rods extending parallel to the cylinder surface so that the friction wheel can advance helically along the cylinder if angled relative to the cylinder axis. The friction wheel generates a lateral force which is used to apply torque to the directional wheel to turn it. The orientation of the friction wheel is varied and controlled by a digit-operated control lever operated by a rider of the vehicle.

SURFACE DETECTION FOR MICROMOBILITY VEHICLES

Various implementations include approaches for training a surface detection classifier and detecting characteristics of a surface, along with related micromobility vehicles. Certain implementations include a method including: comparing: i) detected movement of a micromobility (MM) vehicle or a device located with a user at the MM vehicle while operating the MM vehicle, with ii) a surface detection classifier for the MM vehicle; and in response to detecting that the MM vehicle is traveling on a restricted surface type for a threshold period, performing at least one of: a) notifying an operator of the MM vehicle about the travel on the restricted surface type, b) outputting a warning at an interface connected with the MM vehicle or the device, c) limiting a speed of the MM vehicle, or d) disabling operation of the MM vehicle.

VEHICLE SUSPENSION SYSTEM AND VEHICLE

A vehicle suspension system includes a frame, a damper and a rocker arm. The frame is connected with the rocker arm through the damper, the swing part of swing arm limits the swing arm's rotation angle by matching the limit structure on the frame; the bottom of damper is provided with the universal structure, the damper is connected with the rocker arm through the universal structure, and the universal structure controls the damper in free deflection. A deviation motion of vehicle wheels on both ends by coordinating the swing arm, vibration damper, etc. to avoid the slipping and rollover due to great sides way upon vehicle steering and the lateral wheels disengagement from ground and to enhance the safety of cornering driving of vehicles.

Manufacturing method of body frame

A plurality of main frame members that are commonly usable for a plurality of types of straddled vehicles are fabricated. Left and light pivot shaft supporting portions are provided in each main frame member. The left and right pivot shaft supporting portions include left and right hole formable portions in which left and right pivot holes are formable and which have areas larger than an area of a head portion of a pivot shaft, respectively. One of the pivot shaft supporting portions includes a rotation restricting portion that restricts rotation of the head portion of the pivot shaft inserted into the pivot hole. The pivot holes are respectively formed at predetermined positions at pivot shaft supporting portions of each main frame member, and the predetermined positions are different in accordance with a type of a vehicle for which each main frame member is to be used.

A pedal cycle drivetrain (1) comprising: an epicyclic gear train (3) comprising: a sun gear (11) rotatable around a main axis; a planet carrier (13) rotatable around the main axis and carrying one or more planet gears (15) meshed with the sun gear (11); and an annulus (17) rotatable around the main axis and meshed with the one or more planet gears (15). The sun gear (11), the planet carrier (13), and the annulus (17) are each exclusively in direct drive with one of: an input (5) including one or more pedals; an output (7) including a wheel hub (8) rotatable around the main axis; and a first electric motor (19). Varying angular velocity of the first electric motor (19) corresponds to a varying effective transmission ratio between the input (5) and the output (7). An example application for the pedal cycle drivetrain (1) is use as a transmission in a human powered vehicle (100, 200, 400) such as a unicycle, a recumbent bicycle, or a tricycle.

Kick scooter control mechanism

A telescoping carer's handle for a child's kick scooter comprising a padded handle on one end of a telescoping pole mechanism. The telescoping pole mechanism is arranged parallel to and attaches to the vertical portion of the child kick scooter's T-bar handlebar by means of one or more clamps and brackets. The telescoping carer's handle is reversibly extendable and retractable from the scooter in a direction substantially upwards and downwards, respectively, relative to the handlebar portion of the scooter. There can be a locking mechanism between adjacent telescoping tubes that allows the user to raise or lower the top of the pole and then lock it into position so that, in use, a carer located adjacent to the scooter can grasp the handle at a comfortable height and safely steer, stop and or propel the scooter and child, and alternatively retract the carer's handle when not in use.
