Surgical planning system for the reconstruction of missing or damaged bone parts

A surgical planning system for the reconstruction of missing or damaged bone parts comprises processing circuitry for receiving 3D image data regarding at least one osseous donor area, processing the 3D image data into structured 3D image data where osseous portions are distinguished from soft tissues and/or vascular systems, reading in of 3D target data regarding a missing or damaged bone part, obtaining one or more 3D target curves in relation to the 3D target data and the 3D image data of the at least one osseous donor area, and segmenting the structured 3D image data with the osseous portions of the osseous donor area into segments, where the segments within the structured 3D image data are determined based on the 3D target data and an adaptation of sections of the one or more 3D target curves.

DEVICE FOR SUPPORT OF AN ORGAN EX VIVO AND METHOD USING SUCH DEVICE

A device for support of an organ ex vivo comprises a chamber with a first engagement feature. A support structure includes a second engagement feature. The first and second engagement features may be engaged so that the chamber body is carried by the support structure for rotation. The chamber body comprises first and second chamber components. In a first orientation of the chamber body, the first chamber component provides support for a first surface of the organ, and the second chamber component is removable so that a second surface of the organ is exposed to manipulation from outside the chamber body. In a second orientation of the chamber body, the second chamber component provides support for the second surface of the organ, and the first chamber component is removable so that the first surface of the organ is exposed to manipulation from outside the chamber body.

Nondestructive autograft extracting device for autologous osteochondral transplantation

Systems and methods for harvesting tissue from a donor site include first and second conduits through which a flexible saw component is guided. Certain embodiments include a mechanism which facilitates insertion of a flexible cutting member component parallel to a transverse plane and slicing a graft parallel to the coronal plane to extract the graft.

A skin grafting system having a handheld device, a cartridge, and a device shield. The handheld device includes a device housing forming an interior that secures a drive system. The cartridge includes a plurality of hollow microneedles surrounded by a peripheral housing and is configured to be operated by the drive system to extend and retract past the peripheral housing into a subject to harvest tissue during a skin grafting process. The device shield is formed of a polymer extending from an interior opening to an exterior edge, the interior opening sized to extend about the peripheral housing to position the exterior edge over the device housing to control ingress of fluids into the interior of the device housing from fluid about the peripheral housing of the cartridge during the skin grafting process performed using the skin grafting system.

Apparatus and methods for delivering cold perfusion fluids in organ donors

The present disclosure relates to devices and methods for increasing the probability of a successful organ donation by decreasing organs' warm ischemia time. Furthermore, the present disclosure relates to increasing the pool of eligible donors, including donors who had prior chest surgeries or prior abdominal surgeries. The present disclosure provides a catheter extending through a cannula, wherein the cannula delivers cold perfusion fluid and the catheter blocks the aorta, forcing the cold perfusion fluid to pass to organs in the donor's abdomen. The present disclosure further provides for advancing the catheter from a retracted position to an extended position, and creating a watertight seal at the cannula to prevent backflow of cold perfusion fluid.

System and method for extraction and cryopreservation of bone marrow

Methods are provided for extracting bone marrow cells from bone obtained from deceased donors, for preparing the bone marrow for cryopreservation and for obtaining desired cells from cryopreserved and fresh bone marrow.

TISSUE COLLECTION AND DELIVERY DEVICE AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF

A system and method for harvesting autologous tissue, mincing it into fragments that are visible and measurable when filtered, and delivering a portion of the tissue back into the patient without the need to directly touch the tissue. During the same surgical procedure, the tissue can be mixed with a biocompatible agent before introduction into the repair site.

Cannula for tissue disruption

A coiled shaft for tissue disruption is described herein where a flexible aspiration cannula has a first portion and a second portion formed of the coiled shaft. The cannula is configured in a particular embodiment to rotate over the length of the cannula to disrupt the matrix of bone marrow without the cannula buckling or collapsing. The cannula also includes a disruption tip coupled to the coiled shaft. The disruption tip has a radiused portion along a distal tip face of the disruption tip.
