The clot mobilizer also comprises a tapered portion.

A SELF-EXPANDABLE MEDICAL DEVICE FOR ADVANCEMENT THROUGH VASCULATURE TO AN EXPANSION SITE IN A BLOOD VESSEL

A self-expandable medical device for advancement through vasculature to an expansion site in a blood vessel is disclosed. The device comprises a working portion and a connection portion that can be connected to a pusher. The working portion provides an outward radial force at every diameter between and including the diameter of a compressed and an expanded configurations, and comprises a plurality of crowns of cells comprising an open area bordered by two proximal cell struts, two distal cell struts, and two middle cell struts. The proximal cell struts each extend distally from a common proximal end to a proximal end of a respective one of the two middle cell struts. The distal cell struts each extend proximally from a common distal end to a distal end of a respective one of the two middle cell struts. Each middle cell strut is more flexible than the distal cell strut and proximal cell strut to which it extends.

Described herein is a patch delivery assembly for treating a target site and a method for deploying the same. The patch delivery assembly includes a patch installation frame having a self-expanding body extending between a proximal end and an open distal end and defining a lumen therethrough. The patch delivery assembly also includes a delivery cable having a distal end coupled to the proximal end of the patch installation frame and further defining the lumen, and a securement device extending through the lumen defined through the delivery cable and the patch installation frame, the securement device terminating in a distal working end including a securement mechanism. In a deployment configuration of the patch delivery assembly, the patch delivery assembly further includes a patch releasably coupled to the distal end of the patch installation frame, for securement to tissue of the target site using the securement mechanism.

There is provided a method for controlling the movement of bile and/or gall stones in the biliary duct. The method comprises gently constricting (i.e., without substantially hampering the blood circulation in the tissue wall) at least one portion of the tissue wall to influence the movement of bile and/or gallstones in the biliary duct, and stimulating the constricted wall portion to cause contraction of the wall portion to further influence the movement of bile and/or gallstones in the biliary duct. The method can be used for restricting or stopping the movement of bile and/or gallstones in the biliary duct, or for actively moving the fluid in the biliary duct, with a low risk of injuring the biliary duct.

Cutting head for an intramedullary reamer

A cutting head for use with an intramedullary reamer is described. The reamer cutting head is of a unitary body construction that comprises a conically-shaped body having a bone cutting portion spaced from a barrel portion for attachment to a drive shaft. The bone cutting portion comprises a plurality of blades having a tissue cutting edge that outwardly extends from the cylindrical body. The plurality of blades is positioned about the cutting head in a spaced apart manner. The various plurality of blades are arranged at prescribed angular relationship that increases cutting efficiency and debris removal, thereby reducing reactive torque, axial loading, and head pressure during a surgical procedure.
