FLOW DIVERTER DEVICES AND ASSOCIATED METHODS AND SYSTEMS
20240148384 · 2024-05-09 ·

A flow diverter device for restricting blood flow to an aneurysm at a blood vessel bifurcation is disclosed and described. The flow diverter device includes a linear device body that includes a high-density distal cap having an outer convex shape structurally configured to engage an aneurysm ostium on a blood vessel side at a blood vessel bifurcation, such that the high-density distal cap restricts blood flow into the aneurysm from the blood vessel bifurcation, a low-density section adjacent the high-density distal cap to allow blood flow through the blood vessel bifurcation, a stent section adjacent the low-density section and structurally configured to stabilize the linear device body in a lumen of the blood vessel bifurcation, and a proximal wire attachment at a lateral edge of the stent section, where the stent section terminally couples to a distal end of the proximal wire attachment.

DEPLOYABLE TUBE APPARATUS FOR DELIVERY OF AN ELONGATE DEVICE AND METHODS OF USE

A deployable tube apparatus may include a spool and a flexible sheet coiled about the spool in a laterally unfurled condition. The flexible sheet may have a first lateral margin and a second lateral margin, and may be deployable from the laterally unfurled condition with the first and the second lateral margins spaced from each other to a deployed tubular condition where the first and the second lateral margins are coupled to each other to form an enclosed lumen. The deployable tube apparatus may provide lateral support to an elongated flexible instrument, such as a catheter. Methods of creating and using the deployable tube apparatus are described.

SUTURE CLIP DEPLOYMENT DEVICES WITH SUTURE TENSIONING SYSTEMS
20240173027 · 2024-05-30 ·

Disclosed are devices and methods for deploying securement devices onto sutures with precise and consistent tension levels in the sutures. Devices can include a handle portion having a trigger and a suture tensioning mechanism, and a shaft portion extending distally from the handle portion with at least one suture securement device positioned at a distal end portion of the shaft portion. The device can receive a suture or sutures extending through the suture securement device, across the trigger, and to the suture tensioning mechanism. Actuation of the suture tensioning mechanism gradually increases tension in the received suture until the trigger is actuated by pressure from the suture when a predetermined amount of tension is reached in the suture. Actuation of the trigger can cause the suture securement device to be deployed from the shaft portion onto the received suture with the predetermined amount of tension in the suture.

Intramedullary fixation devices

An internal intramedullary fixation device for the stabilization of bone in arthrodesis and fractures of the foot and hand is disclosed. During implantation in the medullary canal of each bone, the device grasps the edges of the canal, stabilizing the bone (internally) during the natural healing process.

The invention relates to a support base (1) for a suture thread having two opposite sides (12, 14) and comprising on one side (12) thereof a storage channel (2) for a suture thread in a wound position, and a holding zone (4) of one end of the suture thread, the holding zone (4) being surrounded by the storage channel (2), the support base (1) being characterized by having a through-opening (5) between the two sides (12, 14) thereof, the through-opening (5) extending into the holding zone (4) and continuing from the holding zone (4) in such a way as to intersect the storage channel (2), and a shutter (8) moving between an open position for uncovering the through-opening (5) between the two sides (12, 14) thereof, and a closed position for at least partially opening the through-opening (5), the moving shutter (8) being configured to project, in the open position thereof, from the side (14) of the base (1) which is opposite to the side (12) on which the storage channel (2) is formed.

SYSTEM FOR AXIAL POSITIONING OF A ROTATING SHAFT
20240206905 · 2024-06-27 ·

A system for axial positioning of a rotating shaft is provided herein. The system includes a first wheel. The system also includes a second wheel positioned adjacent to the first wheel such that the first wheel and second wheel are configured to rotate in opposite directions. The second wheel is also positioned such that first wheel and second wheel are configured to exert axial force tangential to the first wheel and the second wheel to a shaft positioned between the first wheel and the second wheel. Each of the first wheel and the second wheel each comprise a plurality of rollers positioned tangentially along a circumference of the first wheel and the second wheel.

MIS bunion correction system
12016602 · 2024-06-25 ·

A bunion correction device is disclosed which secures a plate to a metatarsal head before an osteotomy is performed to allow for control of the metatarsal head during the bunion correction procedure. The device comprises a body component having two opposing portions positioned orthogonally to one another with a plurality of screw apertures positioned on both portions of the implant. Bone screws or fasteners are driven laterally through the apertures of the first portion into the metatarsal head, securing the first portion or base to the metatarsal head. An osteotomy is performed just proximal to the plate and the metatarsal head is translated to correct the bunion. Bone screws are then placed in the second portion apertures to fix the correction and provide compression of the osteotomy.

MEDICAL IMPLANT

Systems, devices, and methods for stabilization of bones and/or joints are disclosed. A medical implant may be inserted into a treatment site, such as an interspinous process space. The implant may have an outer body, an inner body coupled to the outer body, distal wings coupled to the inner body, proximal wings coupled to the outer body, and a threaded screw coupled to the inner body and outer body. The threaded screw may be configured to couple to a driver head of an insertion tool and the outer body may be configured to couple to an attachment member of an insertion tool. Actuating the insertion tool may actuate the threaded screw to thereby transition the proximal wings and the distal wings from a closed configuration to a deployed configuration, and from a deployed configuration to a clamped configuration.

MEDICAL DEVICE FOR ULTRASOUND-ASSISTED DRUG DELIVERY

A system for treating a vascular region includes an elongate catheter shaft having a distal end region, with an inner lumen formed in the elongate shaft and a fluid delivery lumen formed in the elongate shaft adjacent to the inner lumen.
