A device for operating a motorcycle includes a steering device with a first and a second grip element, and includes a sensor system for detecting a riding situation. The sensor system includes a grip sensor which is arranged in or on one of the grip elements and which is designed to, in an operating state of the operating device, detect external contact on the respective grip element and generate an associated grip measurement signal. The operating device furthermore includes a steering actuator which is coupled to the steering device for the purposes of setting a steering angle with respect to a steering axis, such that, in a manner dependent on the riding situation and the grip measurement signal, a predetermined steering angle can be set at the steering device by way of the steering actuator.

THREE-WHEELED TILTING VEHICLE
20200283092 · 2020-09-10 · ·

A tiltable vehicle is configured to transform between an autonomous mode and a rideable mode by pivoting the handlebars and steering column of the vehicle about a pitch axis. In the autonomous mode, the steering column is folded back toward the chassis and a tiltable chassis of the vehicle is prevented from tilting. In the rideable mode, the steering column is unfolded and the chassis is free to tilt. In some examples, a tiltable vehicle includes features beneficial for vehicle-sharing, such as parking devices or a basket. These features may be included on any suitable vehicle and are not limited to use on transforming vehicles.

SLIDING KINGPIN ASSEMBLY FOR USE IN VEHICLES

Disclosed is a truck comprising a hanger having a first pivot support and a second pivot support and an axis of rotation passing through the first pivot support and the second pivot support, a base having a structure providing the first pivot support, a pivot arm attached to the base providing the second pivot support, a pivot bushing passing through an aperture of the base, a kingpin passing through the pivot bushing, the base, and the hanger, and a locknut arranged at an end of the kingpin. In at least one example embodiment the first and second pivot support structures prevent an axis of rotation of the hanger from moving as the locknut is moved along the kingpin.

Adaptive attachment wheel for wheelchairs

The invention relates to an adaptive attachment wheel for wheelchairs, formed as a unit consisting of: a wheel (5); frame segments (1); adaptation shells (7, 8) for lateral guidance on the wheelchair front tubes; and at least one holding element (6) that can be fastened to the wheelchair; such that, when the adaptive attachment wheel is attached to the wheel-chair, the adaptation shells (7, 8) are brought together with the wheelchair front tubes, the front casters of which are lifted off of the ground, and a three-wheeled wheelchair is produced, the front wheel (5) of which can be steered and braked by means of an one-hand steering system (13).

Dual steerable vehicle

A tricycle may be operable between a first mode of operation steerable by a tricycle rider, and a second mode of operation steerable by an individual pushing the tricycle. In both such first and second modes, the frame of the tricycle is configured to rotatably support the rear wheels and configured to support the head tube at a distance from the rear wheels such that a distance between the head tube and rear wheels need not necessarily be changed even when the front wheel axis location is changed from one mode to another.

Aerodynamic front fork for a bicycle
10633049 · 2020-04-28 · ·

An aerodynamic front fork assembly for a bicycle may include an elongated crown portion extending from a steerer tube to a distal end behind a front wheel, with one or more fork blades projecting in a generally forward direction from the distal end of the crown portion to engage the front wheel. The crown portion may substantially fill the gap between the front wheel and the down tube of the bicycle, thereby collectively forming an airfoil with the front wheel and the down tube.

STEERING DAMPER

A steering damper can minimize a mounting space and can achieve favorable damping force characteristics. A rod member is mounted on a side of a first end of a piston and passes through a side of a first end of the damper case. A cylinder has a stepped configuration including a small-diameter cylinder and a large-diameter cylinder. Insertion of the piston in the cylinder causes an oil chamber filled with damper oil to be divided into a first oil chamber that has the small-diameter cylinder as an outer circumference, a second oil chamber that has the large-diameter cylinder as an outer circumference and that contacts the rod member, and a third oil chamber that has the large-diameter cylinder as an outer circumference and that does not contact the rod member. The piston has a stepped configuration including a small-diameter portion associated with the small-diameter cylinder and a large-diameter potion associated with the large-diameter cylinder.
