The steerable wheel is steerable about at least two axes. The position adjusting system includes an adjustable seat support movably connected to the hub, an adjustable handle bar support movably connected to the hub, and a releasable position locking system configured to lock the position of the components of the vehicle relative to the hub. The hub includes a first portion and second portion, wherein the first and second portions are moveably connected to one another, such as by pivoting, sliding, or a combination of pivoting and sliding.

The inner shaft member includes a shaft part which is internally fittable to the outer tube member, a male thread part formed in an outer peripheral surface of a first end portion of the shaft part, and a retaining part protruding radially outward from a second end portion of the shaft part, the retaining part being configured to retain an axial tension of the inner shaft member generated by fastening the fastening member to the axle.

The axle is a cantilevered axle with a first end removably connected to the dropout. The first end includes an axially outwardly facing first end face. The dropout includes an axially inward facing inboard face and an open slot to receive the axle adjacent the first end, with the open slot including an open entrance portion, a closed terminus region, slot sidewalls extending between the entrance portion and the terminus region. The axle is generally radially inwardly assembled to the open slot through the open entrance.

There is described a quick-release arrangement for mounting a bicycle wheel (2) to a hub of a bicycle frame (1) using a single-sided mount. The quick-release arrangement includes a number of levers (12) each movable between a closed position, in which the wheel is retained to the bicycle hub, and an open position in which the wheel is freely removable. A locking ring (21) is mounted to the bicycle wheel and is rotatable between an open position and a locked position. When the locking ring (21) is in the locked position, hooks (24) on the locking ring (21) are engageable with pins (26) mounted on the levers (12), to prevent the levers (12) from moving out of their closed positions. The locking ring (21) may be mounted to a lever cover plate (18) which is fixed to the wheel and arranged so as to partially cover the levers (12) when they are in their closed positions. The lever cover plate (18) may have a window (27) through which an indicator is visible to indicate the position of the locking ring (21).
