Flow path control device and vehicle height adjustment apparatus
A flow path control device according to one embodiment includes a first valve, a unit main body and a control valve. The unit main body has an accommodation portion, a first radial communication hole and a side recess portion. The accommodation portion is recessed from a chamber accommodating the oil to cause the first valve to close the first radial communication hole. The side recess portion is recessed from the chamber so as to be continuous to the accommodation portion and not to be continuous to the first radial communication hole. The control valve is movable in the accommodation portion of the unit main body between a position at which a groove of the control valve communicates with the side recess portion and the first radial communication hole and a position at which the groove does not communicate with them.
HYDRAULIC SHOCK ABSORBER
A hydraulic shock absorber includes a control valve. The control valve includes a valve seat formed with a closing face, a valve body configured to come into contact with the closing face, and a valve shaft configured to transmit an operation force applied from a driving unit to the valve body. The control valve is defined with an upstream side flow channel extending from an inlet coupled to the upper end opening, via a space in which the valve body moves, to the closing face, and a downstream side flow channel extending from the closing face to an outlet. The control valve is disposed above the cylinder so that a central axis of the valve shaft is inclined relative to a central axis of the vehicle body side tube and the wheel side tube.
MODIFIED FRONT FORK FOR MOTORCYCLE CONFIGURED TO REDUCE TRAIL DISTANCE
A front fork for a motorcycle includes a bottom portion configured to engage an axle of a front wheel, the bottom portion having a center line at an angle relative to vertical. An angled middle portion extends from a top of the bottom portion at an angle relative to vertical that is larger than the bottom portion center line angle relative to vertical. A steering head attachment extends from a top of the angled middle portion.
SHOCK ABSORBER
A shock absorber includes a suspension spring configured to bias the shock absorber main body in an extension direction; a jack; and a spring bearing driven by the jack. The jack includes a housing and a piston. The housing includes a cylindrical portion disposed on an outer periphery of an outer shell. The piston is inserted between the outer shell and the cylindrical portion. The spring bearing has a fitting length is longer than a fitting length of the piston with the housing in a state where the piston maximally exits from the cylindrical portion.
HIGH PERFORMANCE MOTORCYCLE
A high performance motorcycle having a frame, engine suspension, and rear wheel drive system that enables rider foot positioning close to the longitudinal centerline of the motorcycle and an overall aerodynamic profile. The engine suspension, centering and damping system allows for lateral movement while damping vibration and unwanted oscillations. The rear wheel drive includes a driven pulley axially disposed on a rear wheel axle, a drive pulley configured to receive motive output from the motorcycle engine, an idler pulley disposed above a line between the axes of rotation of the drive pulley and the rear wheel axle, and a belt or chain disposed around and operatively connecting the drive pulley, the driven pulley and the idler pulley, wherein the idler pulley and the drive pulley configured so as to provide substantially constant tension to a belt or chain over the range of travel of the rear suspension.
BICYCLE-ASSEMBLY
A bicycle assembly includes a shock absorber with a first end and a second end, a link bracket with a first hinge connection for pivotably connecting to the first end of the shock absorber, and a second hinge connection for pivotably connecting to a bicycle frame. A first pivot axis runs through the first hinge connection, and a second pivot axis runs through the second hinge connection. In the installed state of the link bracket on the shock absorber, the second hinge connection and the second pivot axis are arranged between the first end and the second end of the shock absorber relative to the longitudinal axis of the shock absorber. The first pivot axis and the second pivot axis are spaced apart from each other by a positive normal distance and run transversely to each other.
INLINE SHOCK ABSORBER WITH COIL SPRING FOR A CYCLE WHEEL SUSPENSION ASSEMBLY
A trailing link, multi-link suspension assembly for a cycle having improved stability includes a first arm having a first arm fixed pivot and a first arm shock pivot. A shock link has a shock link fixed pivot and a shock link floating pivot. A shock absorber has an inline configuration, a coil spring, a first shock mount and a second shock mount. A wheel carrier has a wheel carrier first pivot and a wheel carrier second pivot spaced apart from one another, and a wheel mount that is adapted to be connected to a wheel. A control link has a control link floating pivot and a control link fixed pivot, the control link floating pivot being pivotably connected to the wheel carrier second pivot, and the control link fixed pivot being pivotably connected to the first arm control pivot. A mechanical trail distance increases as the suspension assembly compresses relative to a fully extended state.
Suspension Including Coil Spring and Ambient Air Cushion
A front fork of a bicycle may include a suspension system that includes a damper. The damper may include a hollow tube with orifices that may be partially blocked by an adjustable blocker. A free end of the adjuster that adjusts the blocker may maintain its axial position in any rotational position. Ambient air may be introduced through a valve and retained in the suspension system. The suspension may include a mechanical spring in a chamber away from the valve that introduces the ambient air.
Bicycle rear suspension system
A bicycle may include a front triangle and a rear suspension system that couples the front triangle to a rear wheel and is dampened by at least one shock absorber. The rear suspension system includes a six-bar linkage having two ternary links separated from each other by one or more binary links, such that the two ternary links do not share a common joint. One of the ternary links may comprise a chain stay. In some examples, the other ternary link may comprise the front triangle. In some examples, the other ternary link may comprise a rocker arm coupling a seat stay link to the shock absorber.
BICYCLE SUSPENSION COMPONENTS
Example bicycle suspension components are described herein. An example suspension component includes a first tube and a second tube configured in a telescopic arrangement and defining an interior space, and a damper in the interior space. The damper includes a damper body defining a chamber, a damper member in the chamber, and a shaft coupled to the damper member. The example suspension component also includes an isolator coupling the shaft to a bottom end of the second tube, the isolator including an elastomeric member to absorb vibrations.
