The wheel acceleration calculation section calculates a first wheel acceleration and a second wheel acceleration. The bad road determination section determines that a running road surface is a bad road when the calculated first wheel acceleration is larger than a first boundary line where the first wheel acceleration increases as the second wheel acceleration is larger in an area where the first wheel acceleration is larger than the second wheel acceleration. The bad road amount setting section increases a bad road amount as the calculated first wheel acceleration is larger when it is determined that a running road surface is a bad road.

Adjustable axle retaining structure

An adjustable axle retaining structure is disclosed. The structure includes an axle receiving feature on a first leg of a fork assembly and a retaining sleeve within a clamping member on a second leg of the fork assembly. An axle is inserted through the clamping member, the wheel hub and coupled with the axle receiving feature. A component of the axle is tightened thereby moving the retaining sleeve partially out of the clamping member and toward the wheel hub until the wheel hub is in contact with both the retaining sleeve and the axle receiving feature, wherein the moving of the retaining sleeve allows the axle to radially couple the wheel hub with the fork assembly without modifying a preestablished geometry of the fork assembly.

A brake system includes a driving part driven by electric power to adjust braking force applied to a rotary body of a human-powered vehicle and an electronic controller configured to control the driving part in accordance with a rotational state of the rotary body. The electronic controller has a plurality of control modes including a first mode that drives the driving part in accordance with a user operation and a second mode that does not drive the driving part regardless of the user operation. The electronic controller is configured to switch the plurality of control modes based on setting information related to an input to the human-powered vehicle.

A hydraulic device comprises a base member, a piston, a seal ring, and an intermediate member. The base member includes a cylinder bore and an annular groove. The annular groove includes a first inner surface and a second inner surface. The piston is movable relative to the base member from a rest position toward an actuated position in a second direction opposite to a first direction. The piston is movable relative to the base member from the actuated position toward the rest position in the first direction. The seal ring includes a first axial surface facing in the first direction and a second axial surface facing in the second direction. The seal ring is provided in the annular groove so as to define a clearance between the first axial surface and the first inner surface. The intermediate member is provided in the clearance.
