Implant retrieval device
Devices and methods are disclosed for retrieving an implant or tissue anchor during the course of a percutaneous medical procedure. An implant is provided having a retrieval tether attached to it. The retrieval tether is attached to the implant on one end, and the proximal end of the tether can be threaded through an implant retrieval device. The retrieval device comprises an inner elongate body that is used to capture and secure the retrieval tether. The retrieval device also comprises an outer elongate body that may be configured to be advanced over the retrieval tether from a location remote from the implant (e.g., outside a patient's body) to contact and retrieve the implant after it has been deployed and/or implanted within a patient's body.

DETACHABLE MOTOR POWERED SURGICAL INSTRUMENT
A detachable motor-powered surgical instrument. The instrument may include a housing that includes at least one engagement member for removably attaching the housing to an actuator arrangement. A motor is supported within the housing for supplying actuation motions to various portions of a surgical end effector coupled to the housing. The housing may include a contact arrangement that is configured to permit power to be supplied to the motor only when the housing is operably attached to the actuator arrangement.

Neural interface insertion and retraction tools
Devices and methods for manipulating devices such as micro-scale devices are provided. The devices can include a tether of various materials surrounded by a stiff body. The tether interfaces with microscale devices to draw them against the stiff body, holding the microscale devices in a locked position for insertion into or extraction out of tissue. The tensional hook and stiff body are configurable in a multitude of positions and geometries to provide increased engagement. Such configurations allow for a range of implantation and extraction surgical procedures for the device within research and clinical settings.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR MANUALLY RETRACTING A DRIVE SHAFT, DRIVE BEAM, AND ASSOCIATED COMPONENTS OF A SURGICAL FASTENING
A surgical fastening device provides a mechanism for manually retracting the drive shaft, drive beam, and associated components in the event of a jamming or misfiring condition. The device includes a handle housing from which an elongate shaft extends and an end effector at a distal end of the shaft. The end effector has a cartridge jaw and an anvil jaw in a pivoting arrangement. A drive shaft actuates a drive beam, which acts to drive fasteners from the cartridge jaw into tissue. The device include a first retraction mechanism configured to move linearly and proximally to retract the drive beam and drive shaft, and a second retraction mechanism that likewise is able to retract the drive beam and drive shaft.
