The bicycle includes: a rear brake, a rear brake lever, a rear break cable passes through a first cable guide, and a brake cable biasing member that is positioned to urge the rear brake cable back through the first cable guide to be between the first cable guide and the rear brake lever; front and rear wheel connectors to hold the front and rear wheels together; a crank, a front sprocket, a rear cassette, rear sprockets, a chain, and a derailleur; a chain guide that is positioned to engage the chain and to limit a lateral angle of the chain relative to the rear sprocket; or first and second frame element locking surfaces and apertures, and a plunger movable to a clamping position and to a release position.
Chainring for a bicycle
A bicycle chainring may have a plurality of first teeth that fit within the narrow link spaces in a drive chain, and a plurality of second teeth that fit within the wide link spaces in a drive chain. Each second tooth may have a first width that is greater than the its tip width at a location that is between about 40% and about 60% of the tooth height and a second width that is greater than the first width and is between the first plane and the root. A first transition portion may be on a first side of the second tooth and may extends between a first edge that is at the tip and extends in an edge direction that is substantially parallel to the central plane and a second edge that is disposed at the second plane and extends in the edge direction.
Rotationally-Engaging Two-Piece Upper Chain Guide
An assembly for minimizing the disengagement of a chain from a chain ring is disclosed. The assembly includes an inboard leg and an outboard leg. Rotation of the outboard leg relative to the inboard leg locks the inboard leg in place relative to the outboard leg. Relative rotation locks the assembly onto a shaft. The assembly may include an outboard leg that snaps into place on the inboard leg and is capable of rotating between two extreme positions.
FOLDING BICYCLE
An aspect of the invention provides a folding bicycle (10) comprising a first frame section (12a); a second frame section (12b) movably mounted to the first frame section so that the first and second frame sections may be moved relative to each other from an unfolded position to a folded position; a front wheel (40) mounted to the first frame section; a rear wheel (42) mounted to the second frame section; a chainset (48) mounted to the first frame section comprising a pair of crank arms (48a) fixed to a bottom bracket axle (74) and defining a crank shaft axis orthogonal to the first and second frame sections; wherein, the bottom bracket axle comprises first and second axle members (74a) extending orthogonally to the crank arm axis and a bridge portion (74b) connecting the first and second axle members, the bottom bracket axle defining a void between the first and second axle members, and wherein, when in a folded position the front and rear wheels are positioned at least partially within the void defined between the first and second axle members.
Belt drive system
A belt drive system comprising a belt having a plurality of longitudinally spaced belt teeth, the belt further comprising a longitudinal groove extending in the endless direction of the belt through the belt teeth, a sprocket comprising a plurality of sprocket teeth on an outer circumference of the sprocket, each of the sprocket teeth extending parallel to the rotation axis, and each sprocket tooth configured to be received between adjacent belt teeth, and a first planar fin extending from at least one side of a sprocket tooth, the first planar fin configured to cooperatively engage the longitudinal groove, the first planar fin extending in a direction normal to a sprocket axis of rotation, the first planar fin having a width no greater than 20% of a sprocket groove width (W).
Bicycle chain guide assembly
A bicycle chain guide includes a base and a chain guide. The base is configured to be mounted to a bicycle that includes a solitary sprocket having a rotational center axis. The chain guide is disposed above the solitary bicycle sprocket in a mounted state where the base is mounted to the bicycle. The chain guide includes a first guide plate, a second guide plate, and a bridge. The first guide plate has a first guiding surface. The second guide plate is closer to the base than the first guide plate and has a second guiding surface facing the first guiding surface to define a chain guiding slot between the first guiding surface and the second guiding surface. The bridge connects the first guide plate and the second guide plate.
Bicycle sprocket
A bicycle sprocket comprises a sprocket body and sprocket teeth. The sprocket teeth include at least one first tooth. The at least one first tooth has a first maximum chain-engaging width, a first tooth center plane, a first projection, and a second projection. The first maximum chain-engaging width is defined in an axial direction parallel to a rotational center axis. The first tooth center plane is defined to bisect the first maximum chain-engaging width in the axial direction. The first projection has a first maximum axial length defined from the first tooth center plane in the axial direction. The second projection has a second maximum axial length defined from the first tooth center plane in the axial direction. The second maximum axial length is different from the first maximum axial length.
SADDLE RIDING VEHICLE
In a saddle riding vehicle including: a swing arm that supports a rear wheel; a sprocket disposed at the rear wheel; and a chain that meshes with the sprocket to thereby drive the rear wheel, the rear wheel includes a rear wheel-side protruding portion that protrudes from the sprocket to an outside in a vehicle width direction, a chain cover fastening portion, to which a chain cover for covering the chain is fastened, is disposed on the outside in the vehicle width direction with respect to the rear wheel-side protruding portion and protrudes to an inside in the vehicle width direction, and the chain cover fastening portion is disposed at a position at which the chain cover fastening portion overlaps the rear wheel-side protruding portion in a vehicle side view.
CHAIN-RINGS SET FOR A POWER TRANSMISSION SYSTEM PROVIDED WITH SEGMENTED CHAIN-RINGS IN DIFFERENT PLANES
Chain-rings set, for a power transmission system, which includes a chain, a first chain-ring, a second chain-ring where the first chain-ring is formed by a support part of the teeth and a teeth part, where the second chain-ring is formed by segments each formed by a support part of the teeth and a teeth part, which includes axial displacement means of the segments, where an up-shift segment of the segments has a first tooth which is the first which is engaged with the chain in the rotation movement, and where the displacement means are configured for moving the up-shift segment to an engaging position such that the first tooth can engage with an engaging link of the up-shift section of the chain, when the chain is engaged in the small chain-ring, and without the support part of the up-shift segment reaching the same plane than the support part of the first chain-ring, and to successively displace the other independent segments to an engaging position with the chain without the support parts of the independent segments reaching the same plane than the support part of the first chain-ring.
