Vessel cargo hold having void space
10994808 · 2021-05-04 · ·

A cargo hold having a plurality of spaces, which are formed by a longitudinal bulkhead and a transverse bulkhead intersecting each other and store crude oil, comprises a void space located at least one corner among corners formed by intersection of the longitudinal bulkhead and the transverse bulkhead, wherein the void space is formed of a void space structure having one side end and the other side end sealed by and fixed to the longitudinal bulkhead and the transverse bulkhead, respectively, thereby forming an empty space inside the bulkheads. The vessel cargo hold prevents a danger, such as fire and explosion, which may occur during the maintenance or repair of the vessel cargo hold for storing crude oil, and decreases work or the like required for the maintenance or repair of the cargo hold.

Jet propelled watercraft

A jet propulsion device is mounted to a vessel body and connected to a drive shaft. A bearing rotatably supports the drive shaft. A bulkhead is disposed inside the vessel body and below a deck. The bulkhead supports the bearing and includes a gap disposed between the drive shaft and the deck. The drive shaft and the gap overlap as seen in a vertical direction.

Ship/floating storage unit with dual cryogenic cargo tank for LNG and liquid nitrogen

A water-borne carrier for transporting liquefied natural gas (LNG) and liquefied nitrogen (LIN). A plurality of dual-purpose cryogenic storage tanks are arranged along a length of the ship. The plurality of dual-purpose cryogenic storage tanks may contain LNG or LIN. A LNG-only cryogenic storage tank may be arranged along the length of the ship. The LNG-only cryogenic storage tank contains only LNG.

Catamaran hull of hybrid structure and craft using such a hull

A catamaran hull of hybrid structure includes a first lateral float, a second lateral float and a central float connecting the first lateral float to the second lateral float; the hull further including a first beam having a first bulkhead and a second beam having a second bulkhead, each bulkhead lying in a plane substantially perpendicular to the bow-stern line and including: a central part including a lower element intended to collaborate with a lower part of the central float; a first lateral part including a lower element intended to collaborate with a lower part of the first lateral float; a second lateral part including a lower element intended to collaborate with a lower part of the second lateral float; the hull part arranged between the first bulkhead and the second bulkhead defining a monobloc hull portion.

Ship having plurality of fuel lines

This ship includes a ship body, a fuel tank chamber, a stern-side engine room, a bow-side engine room, a main fuel line and a sub-fuel line, and a pump mechanism. The main fuel line connects a fuel tank, a stern-side power generation unit, and a bow-side power generation unit through the bow-side engine room. The sub-fuel line connects at least the fuel tank and the stern-side power generation unit, and is disposed through a section different from the bow-side engine room through which the main fuel line passes. The pump mechanism selectively feeds fuel into the main fuel line or the sub-fuel line from the fuel tank.
