System and method for vibration cancellation

A method for cancelling vibration includes receiving, from a first accelerometer, a first accelerometer measurement; receiving, from a second accelerometer, a second accelerometer measurement; determining a counter torque value based on the first accelerometer measurement and the second accelerometer measurement; and selectively controlling a lift mechanism according to the counter torque value using a motor, the motor being in mechanical communication with the lift mechanism and the lift mechanism being configured to allow a platform to travel in one of a first direction and a second direction.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SEAT VIBRATION CANCELLATION

A method for cancelling seat vibration includes receiving, from an accelerometer, a plurality of accelerometer measurements and applying a first filter to the plurality of accelerometer measurements to remove accelerometer measurements of the plurality of accelerometer measurements having a frequency above a first threshold frequency. The method also includes applying a second filter to an output of the first filter to remove accelerometer measurements of the output of the first filter having a frequency above a second threshold frequency and applying a third filter to an output of the second filter to generate an accelerometer measurement output having a center frequency corresponding to a resonant frequency of the vibration of the at least one component of the seat. The method also includes determining an absolute magnitude value of the accelerometer measurement output and selectively controlling a motor based on the absolute magnitude value of the accelerometer measurement output.

BOAT WITH A TRANSOM

A boat having a transom and a rear platform extending at least partially across the transom. The rear platform includes a hatch defining at least partially the rear platform, the hatch having a bottom surface, and a hatch pivot for pivoting the hatch about a hatch pivot axis from a first hatch position to a second hatch position. The boat is free of an enclosed engine compartment. The hatch at least partially defines thereunder a space for receiving a marine outboard engine. The space extends rearwardly of the transom and is open at a rear of the boat.

Retractable hull mounting data collecting system

A watercraft mounting system that embodies a moving mounting platform and a protective hull cavity which provides protection, prevents damage and improves storage of data collection systems.

Jet propelled watercraft

A jet propulsion device is mounted to a vessel body and connected to a drive shaft. A bearing rotatably supports the drive shaft. A bulkhead is disposed inside the vessel body and below a deck. The bulkhead supports the bearing and includes a gap disposed between the drive shaft and the deck. The drive shaft and the gap overlap as seen in a vertical direction.

Suspension-based collapsible strakes for watercraft and watercraft including the same

A watercraft includes a hull having inner and outer surfaces and at least one collapsible strake coupled to the hull. The collapsible strake includes a movable skin hingedly coupled to the hull. The collapsible strake also includes a dampening element and a negative stiffness element each extending from an inner surface of the movable skin to the outer surface of the hull. The movable skin is configured to rotate between an uncollapsed configuration having a first stiffness and a collapsed configuration having a second stiffness greater than the first stiffness.
