Fairlead for guiding an anchoring element of an offshore structure
Disclosed is a fairlead for guiding an anchoring element of an offshore structure, such as a floating structure, at an anchoring point, of the type having a guide for the anchoring element and a lock holding the anchoring element in position, having a locking jaw including two locking jaw elements that are movable by a maneuvering unit actuated by a controller, between a closed position preventing the anchoring element from moving in translation and an open position releasing the anchoring element. The controller is of the impulse-type, and the maneuvering unit includes a pawl that defines successive stable open and closed positions of the jaw-forming unit.
Mooring pulley tensioning system
A mooring tensioning arrangement for a floating structure or vessel (11), comprising an anchor (2), a mooring line (3), a mooring tensioner (4) and a working line (5), said mooring tensioner (4) having a tensioning pulley (20). A tensioning force is imposed on said mooring line (3), which is directed towards said floating structure or vessel (11).

Chain stopper
A device for connecting a chain or line, such as a portion of a chain or line, to a structure, the device comprising a first portion comprising a first axis, the first portion being configured to connect or be connectable to a structure so as to be movable relative to the structure; a first guide element, the first guide element being arranged on or relative to the first portion to be movable around or about the first axis of the first portion; and a second guide element, the second guide element being configured to align at least a portion of a chain relative to the first guide element.

MOORING AND TENSIONING METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND APPARATUS
A method of mooring a floating vessel having a fairlead stopper coupled thereto is provided. The method includes retrieving a line pre-reeved on the fairlead stopper, connecting the line to an upper end of a mooring line, retrieving a second end of the line, connecting the second end to a winch of the AHV, and hauling in the mooring line to apply tension thereto. Also disclosed are mooring lines and systems, including lines having tensioning connectors thereon, such as tri-plate connectors, for stretching lines.

BUOYANT OFFSHORE PLATFORM AND A METHOD OF DEPLOYING BUOYANT OFFSHORE PLATFORMS
A buoyant offshore platform for supporting a renewable energy system having a base portion for submerging below the surface of a body of water, a top portion, at least one mooring line for fixing the platform to a bed of the body of water, and a tensioning means for applying tension to at least one of the mooring lines. The platform further comprises a floating configuration in which the platform is positioned floating on the surface of the body of water. The platform has a deployed configuration in which the base portion is submerged and the top portion remains above the surface of the body of water. In use, the tensioning means is arranged to apply tension to the at least one mooring line fixed between the platform and the bed such that the buoyant offshore platform transitions between the floating configuration and the deployed configuration.
Techniques for monitoring windlass rotation
Methods and apparatus for monitoring windlass rotation are provided to determine the real time rate and length of rode release when anchoring a boat. The rotation can be monitored in real time using directional sound and/or electromagnetic radiation receivers and/or transmitter in a module attached to the windlass. Another windlass module can monitor windlass rotation using micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) components such as accelerometers, magnetometers, gyroscopes, and/or inertial measurement units (IMU) to sense motion and/or position.
Constant tension anchoring system
A constant tension anchoring system mounted on a floating body in the ocean includes an anchor, an anchor chain, an anchor windlass, a towing cable, a load and a chain stopper. During the oscillatory motion of the waves, the constant tension anchoring system repeats the release and retraction so as to maintain a generally constant tension force and thereby ensure the safety of the anchoring system and the floating body.
