TRIGGERABLE MECHANISMS AND FRAGMENT CONTAINMENT ARRANGEMENTS FOR SELF-DESTRUCTING FRANGIBLE STRUCTURES AND SEALED VESSELS
An apparatus comprises a frangible structure coupled or integral to at least a portion of the apparatus and a triggerable mechanism disposed at or proximate the frangible structure. The triggerable mechanism is configured to break the frangible structure in response to a trigger signal. A containment structure is disposed on or over at least a portion of the frangible structure. The containment structure is configured to allow at least the portion of the frangible structure to deform or change shape in response to breaking of the frangible structure while keeping substantially all fragments of at least the portion of the broken frangible structure together.
INERTIAL HYDRODYNAMIC PUMP AND WAVE ENGINE
A buoyant hydrodynamic pump is disclosed that can float on a surface of a body of water over which waves tend to pass. The pump incorporates an open-bottomed tube with a constriction. The tube partially encloses a substantial volume of water with which the tube's constriction interacts, creating and/or amplifying oscillations therein in response to wave action. Wave-driven oscillations result in periodic upward ejections of portions of the water inside the tube that can be collected in a reservoir that is at least partially positioned above the mean water level of the body of water, or pressurized by compressed air or gas, or both. Water within such a reservoir may return to the body of water via a turbine, thereby generating electrical power (making the device a wave engine), or else the device's pumping action can be used for other purposes such as water circulation, propulsion, or cloud seeding.

ADJUSTABLE AQUACULTURE APPARATUS
An adjustable aquaculture assembly including a container having a plurality of open sides and defining a retention space. The open sides are configured to allow flow through the retention space. A plurality of buoyancy members are positioned on the container. Each buoyancy member may be configured to be selectively filled with and emptied of air. A pump is coupled with the plurality of buoyancy members and is configured to control airflow to and from at least one of the plurality of buoyancy members.

BUOYANCY ADJUSTING APPARATUS AND HOUSING
A buoyancy adjusting apparatus includes: a volume-changeable portion configured to be coupled to a buoyancy-adjustment target; and an operation receiver configured to receive an operation from a user to change a volume of the volume-changeable portion. The volume of the volume-changeable portion is changeable according to the operation received by the operation receiver, to change the buoyancy of the buoyancy-adjustment target in fluid.
Buoy apparatus and the control system
Buoy apparatus and buoy control system for identifying an underwater object, and method for identifying an underwater object are disclosed. A buoy apparatus for use underwater, comprises a buoy securely connected to a first end of a rope; a spool structure securely connected to a second end of the rope; a retractable head for engaging the spool structure; and a spool control device for actuating retraction of the retractable head, wherein in response to an instruction from the spool control device, the retractable head disengages the spool structure, and the spool structure releases the rope when the buoy raises toward a surface of water.
