WAKE SHAPING DEVICE AND SYSTEM
Boats can be adapted to generate a wake that is well-suited for the sport of wake surfing. For example, boats can include an aft platform with a contoured underside that contacts water to generate such a wake for wake surfing. In some embodiments, the contoured underside of the platform includes dual opposing wake-shaping surfaces that shape the water flowing aft from the boat hull to create a wake shape that is well-suited for wake surfing. The aft platforms can be integrally manufactured as an extension to the hull or deck of a new boat, or manufactured separately and subsequently affixed to a previously manufactured boat.

BOAT-IN-A-BOX
In one example, a boat includes a deck, a pair of pontoons configured to be attached beneath the deck and configured to support the deck, and a railing configured to be attached on top of the deck. The boat is configured to be arranged within a standard sized shipping container during storage or transport of the boat. In this manner, the boat may be collapsed for storage or transport, and expanded for use in operation of the boat. Thus, the boat may be readily assembled by a purchaser, operator, or other user.
EXTENDABLE HULL SYSTEM MOVABLE BETWEN MONO-HULL AND MULTI-HULL CONFIGURATIONS
An extendable hull system movable between a mono-hull to a multi-hull configuration is provided so as to take advantage of both types of hull designs depending on the boating conditions. The extendable hull system provides a center hull portion and two side hull portions, each with separate planing surfaces in an expanded multi-hull configuration, and providing a shared planing surface in the contracted mono-hull configuration. The extendable hull system provides a pivotably connected railing system along a periphery of the side hull portions for moving to a deployed configuration providing additional walking surface. The extendable hull system provides a retractable awning movable between positions for covering the mono-hull and the multi-hull configuration.
Emergency detachable island rig and fire escape
The invention describes a partially submerged Detachable Island Rig (DIR) locked on a permanent under-water basement, to be instantly detached upon a rig-fire. The electrical wiring and metal tubing (with intervening rubber tubing) are cut and sealed, before the DIR disengages also from adjacent stationary rig. For stationing back onto the base, submerged despite changing tides, the buoyant forces of DIR are countered by a system of double pulleys within the basement, when also the DIR is aligned to be locked to the permanent base. The DIR has provisions for immediate functions of a conduction platform, living quarters, a basement entry, steering station, and uniquely designed life-boats and lift-boats. The water-seal of the basement entry, not destroyed upon a rig-fire, serves as an ideal fire-escape model, a safe refuge within the rig. A Continuation-in-part application extensively details water-sealed fire-escape devices of off-shore rigs, including a conventional jack-up rig.
Modular pontoon boat
According to embodiments disclosed herein, there is provided a modular boat that includes a first pontoon, a second pontoon, an arched coupling member, a deck frame, a deck surface and at least one inflatable seat. The first pontoon has a first longitudinal axis and the second pontoon has a second longitudinal axis. The arched coupling member is removably coupleable to the first pontoon and the second pontoon so that the arched coupling member is perpendicular to the first and second longitudinal axis. The deck frame is removably coupleable to the arched coupling member. The deck surface is removably coupleable to the deck frame and extends in a first plane that is parallel to a second plane that contains the first and second longitudinal axis. The inflatable seat is removably coupleable to the deck surface.

Swim platform assemblies for boats
A modular swim platform assembly is for a boat. The assembly has a deck that is movable relative to the boat into and between a retracted position and an extended position, wherein the deck is located closer to the boat in the retracted position than the extended position. The deck has a base platform and a submersible platform, the submersible platform being movable out of the extended position while the base platform remains in the extended position, and particularly wherein the submersible platform is movable out of the extended position to a deployed position that is below the base platform.
