LATERAL FOIL SYSTEM FOR SURFBOARDS
A hydrofoil and hydrofoil system for a surfboard is disclosed. The surfboard has a planar hull defined by a top surface, a bottom surface, a nose, a tail, and opposing side rails extending from the nose to the tail and that define a transition from the top surface to the bottom surface. The hydrofoil system includes one or more attachment mechanisms mounted with the planar hull at or proximate to at least one of the opposing side rails of the planar hull, each of the one or more attachment mechanisms comprising an attachment site oriented substantially laterally from the planar hull. The hydrofoil system further includes a hydrofoil configured to attach to the attachment site of one of the one or more attachment mechanisms, the hydrofoil further being configured to extend substantially laterally from the planar hull at or proximate to the at least one of the opposing side rails of the planar hull.
AQUATIC SPORTS BOARD
A semi-submersible aquatic sports board having a primary load supporting region which is substantially more buoyant and has a greater vertical dimension than other regions of the board. The board may comprise a curved hull, a keel projecting downwardly from the hull and a deck positioned on an upper surface of the hull for supporting a rider in the primary load supporting region. In one embodiment the board may be propelled by a rider supported on the deck in a prone position by using motions similar to natural swimming strokes. The rider can initiate pivoting motion of the board about an axis aligned with the primary load supporting region to aid in self- propulsion. Optionally tail accessories, such as fins, can be coupled to a stern end of the keel and/or hull. At a narrow forward end of the hull the board may include opposed side rails having a pronounced upward curve which merge at a nose at the bow end. The rails may define a viewing opening therebetween.
Convertible electric bike and board apparatus
A bicycle and board apparatus comprising a buoyant board, a front wheel, a rear wheel and a steering member, and being mountable and usable in a first configuration as a bicycle in which the buoyant board is the bicycle's frame and in a second configuration as a surfboard by changing the orientation of the front wheel, the rear wheel or the steering member with respect to the buoyant board.
JEWELRY ORGANIZER
A jewelry display includes a ferromagnetic planar substrate having a front surface opposite a back surface. A bracket is configured to be attached to a wall, the bracket comprising at least one bracket magnet which is a permanent magnet. The back surface of the ferromagnetic planar substrate is configured to removably attach to the bracket due to the magnetic force of the at least one bracket magnet. A plurality of jewelry fixtures are configured to be removably attached to the front surface of the ferromagnetic planar substrate. Each jewelry fixture includes at least one permanent fixture magnet and a jewelry holding structure. The at least one permanent fixture magnet of each jewelry fixture is magnetically attracted to the ferromagnetic planar substrate. The at least one bracket magnet may be at least 2, 5, 10 times or more as powerful as the at least one permanent fixture magnet.
Stand up paddleboard
Provided are stand up paddleboards (SUPs) and methods for exercising using a stand up paddleboard (SUP). The described SUPs optionally expand the fitness experience of a paddleboard to other fitness activities, including Yoga, Pilates, strength training, Boot Camp, and personal training tailored to the unique needs of the participant.
FIN ASSEMBLY FOR A WATER BOARD AND USER PROPELLED WATER BOARD APPARATUS
A user propelled water board apparatus (2) is described and comprises a hull, portion (4) defining a longitudinal axis x-x. The hull portion (4) is buoyant, to enable a user (6) to rest on hull portion (4) and be supported on the surface of a body of water (8). First and second lateral fin members (10) and (12) are pivotably mountable to the hull portion (4) in a position to project into the body of water in use. The first and second lateral fin members (10) and (12) are mounted in use on opposite sides of the hull portion 4 and are pivotable towards and away from the hull portion in the direction of arrow A. A user (6) rocking the hull portion in water about the longitudinal axis x-x causes the first and second lateral fin members (10) and (12) to pivot outwardly from the hull portion and drive the hull portion through the body of water in use.
Foot-actuated steering mechanism for stand-up paddle boards
A steering system for a vessel includes a tiller system having a tiller arm; a rudder system having a rudder; and a push rod system having a push rod linking the tiller arm to the rudder. Actuation of the tiller arm moves the rudder in an orientation providing directional control over the vessel.
Underwater viewing device
The present invention provides for a novel floatation device useful for use by a snorkeler.
