Hydrojet propulsion system
A personal watercraft is disclosed including a flotation portion, a strut extending from the flotation portion, and a motor pod is disposed along the strut with an electric motor operably coupled to a driveshaft. A hydrojet unit is removably attached to the motor pod and includes an inlet portion removably attached to the motor pod and a substantially cylindrical housing. The inlet portion includes a substantially conical motor interface with a shaft through-hole for receiving the driveshaft therein, one or more fins extending outwardly from the conical motor interface, and at least one ring encircling the conical motor interface and connecting to each of the one or more fins for inhibiting objects from passing through the inlet region. The housing defines a fluid flow path to an outlet portion. The hydrojet unit includes an impeller coupled to the driveshaft and a stator disposed within the housing.
PROPULSION POD FOR AN ELECTRIC WATERCRAFT
Disclosed is a passively cooled waterproof propulsion unit for a watercraft is provided comprising a substantially cylindrical housing including an outer wall having an external surface and an internal surface. The cylindrical housing includes a first end cap attached at a first end of the housing. The first end cap includes an attachment interface configured to be mounted to a strut of a watercraft such that at least a portion of the external surface of the outer wall of the housing is configured to contact a fluid surrounding the housing when the watercraft operates within the fluid. The propulsion unit further includes an electric motor disposed with in the housing and an electronic speed controller. The electronic speed controller is electrically coupled to the electric motor and configured to provide electrical power to the electric motor to operate the electric motor.
PROPULSION POD FOR AN ELECTRIC WATERCRAFT
Disclosed is a passively cooled waterproof propulsion unit for a watercraft is provided comprising a substantially cylindrical housing including an outer wall having an external surface and an internal surface. The cylindrical housing includes a first end cap attached at a first end of the housing. The first end cap includes an attachment interface configured to be mounted to a strut of a watercraft such that at least a portion of the external surface of the outer wall of the housing is configured to contact a fluid surrounding the housing when the watercraft operates within the fluid. The propulsion unit further includes an electric motor disposed with in the housing and an electronic speed controller. The electronic speed controller is electrically coupled to the electric motor and configured to provide electrical power to the electric motor to operate the electric motor.
STEERABLE HYDROFOIL WATERCRAFT
A hydrofoil watercraft system comprising: a flotation device; a downward mast extending from a bottom surface of the flotation device; a fuselage, a foil wing extending from one first end of the fuselage; and a plurality of fins independently movable independent of one another, wherein at least two of the movable fins extend in opposite directions from one second end of the fuselage, where the movable fins are used for steering the watercraft. The system further includes a controller for receiving user input, wherein the controller drives the movable fins respectively based on the user input. One of the movable fins is driven by the controller to rotate along a first axis while another of the movable fins is driven by the controller to rotate along a second axis, wherein the first axis and the second axis are substantially symmetrical with respect to the fuselage.

A hydrofoil watercraft system comprising: a flotation device; a downward mast extending from a bottom surface of the flotation device; a fuselage, a foil wing extending from one first end of the fuselage; and a plurality of fins independently movable independent of one another, wherein at least two of the movable fins extend in opposite directions from one second end of the fuselage, where the movable fins are used for steering the watercraft. The system further includes a controller for receiving user input, wherein the controller drives the movable fins respectively based on the user input. One of the movable fins is driven by the controller to rotate along a first axis while another of the movable fins is driven by the controller to rotate along a second axis, wherein the first axis and the second axis are substantially symmetrical with respect to the fuselage.

A watercraft and a waterproof electronics container are provided. The watercraft includes a flotation portion. A strut is removably affixed to a portion of the watercraft. A first connector portion is mounted to the upper end of the strut. A waterproof electronics container includes a second connector portion is disposed such that the second connector forms at least one electrically conductive pathway with the first connector portion when both are affixed to the watercraft. The waterproof electronics container is removably affixed to the said watercraft. In one aspect, the waterproof electronics container houses a power source capable of powering an electric motor that propels the watercraft.

The waterproof electronics container is removably affixed to the said watercraft. In one aspect, the waterproof electronics container houses a power source capable of powering an electric motor that propels the watercraft.

Modular Water Sports Device
Disclosed is a modular water sports device. The modular water sports device comprises a surfboard module, the surfboard module comprising a board body; a driving module, the driving module comprising an electric motor and a propeller connected to a driving shaft of the electric motor, and the driving module being detachably connected to the board body; and a power module, the power module comprising a battery, the power module being detachably connected to the board body, and the battery and the electric motor being electrically connected. The modular water sports device in the present invention integrates the components related to the same function into corresponding functional modules, such as the surfboard module, the driving module and the power module, and the driving module and the power module are both detachably connected to the surfboard module. Compared with a method for directly and loosely assembling the components, the present embodiment can reduce the difficulty of assembly and facilitate later disassembly and maintenance.
