The edge frames are configured to support the surfboard, directly or indirectly. Optionally, the packaging apparatus may also have a plurality of stabilizers affixed to the outer enclosure, where the plurality of edge frames have at least a first edge frame and a second edge frame, the first edge frame abuts at least two of the plurality of stabilizers, and the second edge frame abuts at least two of the plurality of stabilizers.

Each of the forward hull, the aft hull the port hull and the starboard hull are adapted to accommodate additional standup paddleboards at substantially the same distance from the standup paddleboard.

A portion of the upright is disposed above the upper surface of the central hub in a first position and the upright is disposed below the upper surface of the central hub in a second position.
