Hydrojet propulsion system

A personal watercraft is disclosed including a flotation portion, a strut extending from the flotation portion, and a motor pod is disposed along the strut with an electric motor operably coupled to a driveshaft. A hydrojet unit is removably attached to the motor pod and includes an inlet portion removably attached to the motor pod and a substantially cylindrical housing. The inlet portion includes a substantially conical motor interface with a shaft through-hole for receiving the driveshaft therein, one or more fins extending outwardly from the conical motor interface, and at least one ring encircling the conical motor interface and connecting to each of the one or more fins for inhibiting objects from passing through the inlet region. The housing defines a fluid flow path to an outlet portion. The hydrojet unit includes an impeller coupled to the driveshaft and a stator disposed within the housing.

BATTERY PACK FOR PERSONAL WATERCRAFT

A battery enclosure for a personal watercraft is provided. Different configurations of the battery enclosure are disclosed, as well as different arrangements of the battery enclosure within the personal watercraft and with respect to other features of the personal watercraft. According to one embodiment, a personal watercraft includes a deck and a hull defining an interior volume. An electric motor is housed within the interior volume, the electric motor being operable to rotate a drive shaft. A battery pack having a battery enclosure housing one or more batteries is also positioned within the interior volume. A portion of at least one battery of the one or more batteries is positioned vertically above the drive shaft.

Boat steering and propulsion system

Techniques are disclosed to enable a system for controlling the propulsion and steering of a boat by a boat operator. The boat has at least one propulsion and steering motor assembly connected to the boat with a propeller, and a propulsion motor. It also has left and right pivoting pedals to provide a signal that controls the angle of the propeller so that if the left pedal is pivoted in a first pivot direction by a first percentage and the right pedal is pivoted in a second pivot direction by a second percentage, the boat executes a turn, moves forward, or moves in reverse.

A jet pump housing is mountable to a hull of a personal watercraft. The jet pump housing comprises a body extending between an inlet and an outlet. The body has an inner wall delimiting an interior of the body and an outer wall. The inner wall and the outer wall are configured to be exposed to water during use of the personal watercraft. The body is shaped and sized to allow water to flow into the interior via the inlet and to expel water from the outlet. The body has one or more fluid passages positioned between the inner wall and the outer wall. The one or more fluid passages are fluidly isolated from the water and are in heat exchange relationship with the water via one or both of the inner wall and the outer wall.
