Disclosed is a module configured for removable attachment to a board and attached to an end of a mast, where the mast supports a hydrofoil and a motor to drive the board. The module includes a connector for connecting to a power source, internal control circuitry, and a thermal bridge to thermally connect the control circuitry to the mast. The module comprises a watertight cavity in which the internal control circuitry is contained.

Watercraft

A watercraft includes a chassis, a drive, a hydrofoil and a drive transfer arm. The drive is operatively connected to a first end of the drive transfer arm. The hydrofoil is pivotably connected to a second end of the drive transfer arm. The watercraft is configured such that operation of the drive causes the hydrofoil to oscillate, to provide thrust. The hydrofoil is pivotably connected to the second end of the drive transfer arm with an adjustable connection mechanism. The adjustable connection mechanism is such that the distance between a leading edge of the hydrofoil and a rotational axis of a pivoting connection point to the drive transfer arm is adjustable.

Wireless controller

Various examples of a waterproof wireless controller using a unique trigger mechanism with unique waterproofing characteristics are disclosed. The wireless controller can be used in watersports or other activities and be completely submerged without water intrusion or loss of function.

Methods and apparatus for facilitating watercraft planing

A watercraft can include a foil configured for movement between an undeployed position and a first deployed position in which the foil raises the relative position of the watercraft relative to the water line as the watercraft moves forward through the water, thereby facilitating planing of the watercraft. The foil can be configured for movement to a second deployed position in which the foil lowers the relative position of the stern end of the watercraft as the watercraft moves forward through the water, thereby modifying the wake produced by the watercraft.

WIRELESS CONTROLLER

Various examples of a waterproof wireless controller using a unique trigger mechanism with unique waterproofing characteristics are disclosed. The wireless controller can be used in watersports or other activities and be completely submerged without water intrusion or loss of function.

Swimming Propulsion Device

A swimming propulsion device. The swimming propulsion device includes a fuselage at least one propulsor pivotally connected to the fuselage, and in some embodiments, at least one stabilizer affixed to the fuselage. The device also includes a swimmer connection mechanism removably attached to the fuselage by a locking mechanism whereby the swimmer connection mechanism connects a swimmer to the device, and a control mechanism installed within the propulsor. A method for efficient swimming is also disclosed.

Powered hydrofoil board with spaced control flap
12168497 · 2024-12-17 · ·

A hydrofoil board having a hydrofoil and individually controllable flaps configured to be controlled to stabilize the board in a level position even when incurring waves. The flaps are spaced from the hydrofoil to generate a gap, and direct fluid flowing under the hydrofoil through the gap, and over the flaps. The flaps control the pitch and direction of the hydrofoil board when propelled in motion. A processor uses an internal measurement unit (IMU) to obtain orientation and acceleration information of the hydrofoil board. A global positioning system (GPS) unit is also used as an additional speed and location sensor. The processor combines IMU data with a user/rider's input, such as selected speed and direction via handheld wireless controller, and individually controls the flap motors to position the flaps, and the propulsion motor to set speed. In one example, the controller is configured to bring the hydrofoil board to a complete and stabile stop.
