Compound Curette with Soft Handle and Liquid Delivery System
20170281222 · 2017-10-05 ·

An improved curette for removing tissue samples and delivering liquid and anti-pathogen to the treated area is presented. Curette has a soft and squeezable reservoir-handle, allowing for easy maneuvering around the crevices of the treated area. The handle is filled with liquid and attached to a scraping end, that is connected to the handle via hollow tube. The scraping end of the curette is made of a metal or a hard plastic and could be coated in anti-pathogen material. The liquid delivery mechanism allows placing liquid directly to the treated area. The method of scraping debris and medication delivery is particularly useful for a treatment of the toenail fungus. Main portions of the curette could be detachable, allowing for the easy reservoir replacement and for the use of multiple scraping utensils. Similarly, the device could be manufactured for a single use when all parts are molded together.

An instrument and technique for the removal of epidermal layers in a controlled manner utilizing a hand-held instrument with a working end that (i) a vacuum aspiration system, (ii) a source for delivery of a sterile fluids or pharmacological agents to the skin; and (iii) a skin interface surface in the working end that has specially shape structure for abrading surface layers of the patient's epidermis as the working end is moved over the patient's skin while at the same time causing rapid penetration of the fluids into the skin for therapeutic purposes. Movement of the working end across the skin causes abrasion of the surface layers in a path over the patient's skin.

A microdermabrasion system includes an applicator tool including a central handle portion with a treatment tip at a distal end of the handle, where the treatment tip includes an abrading surface formed on a front surface of the tip. A proximal end of the elongated handle is coupled to first and second arms, forming an opening in the hand piece through which a user can insert one or more fingers. The handle supports a bottom side of a user's finger while the user grips the handle. In an implementation, the handle includes an indentation for at least one finger. In an implementation, the treatment tip is removable and replaceable.

An electrical skin treating appliance has an elongate hollow polymeric housing with front and rear portions. The front portion contains a reservoir for receiving and containing water. The rear portion has one or more controls. The housing contains an ultrasonic mist generator for converting the water into a fine mist and dispersing the mist from the housing. A sonically-vibratory spatula extends from the housing at a junction of the front and rear portions and is adapted to scrape the outermost surface of a user's skin. The housing contains an oscillation generator for selectively causing ultrasonic vibration of the spatula, and the one or more controls are adapted for selectively energizing, only one at a time, the mist generator and the oscillation generator.

Vacubrasion: universal air flow regulator and attachment for vacuum assisted microdermabrasion

The present invention provides a novel microdermabrasion system that provides safe and effective treatment for skin conditions such as acne, aging and sallow skin, fine wrinkles, surface skin scars, and other visually unappealing cosmetic skin disfigurements. This new invention provides a universal attachment and air flow/suction regulator which permits micro diamond chip based, crystal free microdermabrasion using a variety of standard vacuums and home based cleaning vacuums. Whereas currently available microdermabrasion devices have required a dedicated internal built in vacuum, this new invention allows the use of the universal attachment to most types of vacuums.
