CAUTERY PROTECTIVE ACCESSORY SLEEVE WITH STABALIZATION SYSTEM
A cautery pen tip accessory cover comprises a cylindrical member that can receive a cautery pen in a first end and the tip of the cautery pen can extend from a second opposite end when the cover is in a retracted configuration. The cylindrical member has an opened lateral exposure that allows the feel of the cautery pen therethrough. A cover exposure opening in the cylindrical member to provide access to a trigger of the cautery pen when the cautery pen tip cover is in the retracted configuration. A resilient member urges the cautery pen tip cover to the non-retracted configuration where access to the cautery pen trigger is prevented. The cylindrical member is easily retracted by a finger ring configured permanently into the cylindrical member, allowing easy retraction of the cover by the operator squeezing the cover to a resistance bar stabilization system accessory configured over the cautery pen.

Radiofrequency Ablation Probe with Directional Cooling for Lesion Size Control
A cooled radiofrequency ablation system including a probe assembly having a proximal region, a distal tip region, and a shaft is provided. First and second internal cooling fluid tubes extend from the proximal region and are positioned inside a cavity defined by the shaft. The distal tip region includes a conductive portion for delivering energy to a target location within tissue. The system also includes a radiofrequency generator for delivering energy to the target location and a cooling fluid reservoir and a bidirectional pump assembly for circulating a cooling fluid from the reservoir through the first internal cooling fluid tube then the second internal cooling fluid tube when the pump operates in a first direction or through the second internal cooling fluid tube then the first internal cooling fluid tube when the pump operates in a second direction to form lesions of different sizes at the target location.
NON-INVASIVE SKIN CONTACT SENSOR
A system and method for measuring a hydration level in human tissue. The system includes a coaxial probe have a first end configured to be in contract with human tissue and configured to be emit and receive signals associated with a spectroscopic technique and having a second end adapted to be coupled to transmit and receive circuitry. The system further includes a patch or other means coupled to the coaxial probe and configured to be adhered to human tissue so as to provide a force upon at least a portion of the coaxial probe configured to be in contact with human tissue. In embodiments, the system may further include means coupled to receive signals from the coaxial probe, for determining an amount of liquid within a portion of human tissue in contact with the first end of the probe.
Systems and methods for creating one or more lesions in neurological tissue
This disclosure relates to forming a lesion in a patient's neurological tissue without requiring general anesthesia. The lesion can be either temporary or permanent. In either case, the lesion can be created by a steerable probe that includes a steerable guide, a laser device, and at least one electrode. The steerable guide steers the probe to a target location in the subject's neurological tissue. When the probe reaches the target location, the laser can create the lesion. The at least one electrode can detect a progressive vanishing of neural activity from the portion of the neurological tissue due to the lesion.
Cooled Radiofrequency Ablation Probe
A cooling radiofrequency ablation probe for delivering electrical and thermal energy to tissue of a patient's body is provided. The probe comprises a handle having an upper portion, a lower portion, and a Luer connector. The probe further comprises an extended electrocap assembly interfacing with one end of the handle, and a cable-tubing assembly interfacing with another end of the handle. The cable-tubing assembly includes an electrical cable that terminates at an electrical connector and a dual-lumen fluid tubing that terminates at inlet and outlet fluid connectors. An active tip of the extended electrocap assembly is configured to deliver the electrical and thermal energy to the tissue of the patient's body.
Steerable Tip Cooled Radiofrequency Ablation Probe
A cooled radiofrequency ablation probe includes an electrocap assembly including an elongated member having a body, a proximal end configured to interface with a probe handle, and a thermally and electrically conductive distal end configured to deliver electrical or radiofrequency energy to a patient's tissue. The elongated member houses at least one cooling fluid tubing within the length of the body and a thermocouple hypotube within the length of the elongated member. The body and the proximal end of the elongated member are straight, and the distal end of the elongated member is curved. A cooled radiofrequency ablation delivery kit including a radiofrequency probe, an introducer, and a stylet is also provided.

TECHNIQUES FOR IRREVERSIBLE ELECTROPORATION USING A SINGLE-POLE TINE-STYLE INTERNAL DEVICE COMMUNICATING WITH AN EXTERNAL SURFACE ELECTRODE
Techniques for High-Frequency Irreversible Electroporation (HFIRE) using a single-pole tine-style internal device communicating with an external surface electrode are described. In an embodiment, a system for ablating tissue cells in a treatment region of a patient's body by irreversible electroporation without thermally damaging the tissue cells is described. The system includes at least one single-pole electrode probe for insertion into the treatment region, the single-pole electrode probe including one or more tines. The system further includes at least one external surface electrode for placement outside the patient's body and configured to complete a circuit with the single-pole electrode probe. The system also includes a control device for controlling HFIRE pulses to the single-pole tine-style electrode and the skin-surface electrode for the delivery of electric energy to the treatment region. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
DOUBLE LOOP LASSO WITH SINGLE PULLER WIRE FOR BI-DIRECTIONAL ACTUATION
A catheter has a distal assembly with at least one loop with ring electrodes. A single continuous puller wire for bidirectional deflection is pre-bent into two long portions and a U-shape bend therebetween. The U-shape bend is anchored at a distal end of a deflectable section which is reinforced by at least one washer having at least two holes, each hole axially aligned with a respective lumen in the deflectable section. Each hole is centered with a lumen so that each puller wire portion therethrough is straight and subjected to tensile force only. A proximal end of the support member is flattened and serrated to provide a better bonding to the distal end of the deflectable section.
