Preformed foundation support for a marine vessel gyro-stabilization system
10894587 · 2021-01-19 ·

A preformed foundation support for a vessel gyro-stabilization system, comprises at least three of a first side support, a second side support, a third side support, and a fourth side support. The side supports define an opening for accommodating at least a portion of a vessel gyro-stabilization system, and the side supports comprise a cuttable portion for custom fitting the preformed foundation support in a vessel. The preformed foundation support structure is installed in the vessel by cutting the cuttable portion of the preformed foundation support for custom fitting the preformed foundation support to the structure support of the vessel. The preformed foundation support structure can be manufactured as a molded fiberglass structure.

VISCOUS-DRAG-REDUCING CLADDING
20200317295 · 2020-10-08 ·

A viscous-drag-reducing cladding for a ship's hull whereby the wetted area of the hull is reduced by interspersing air between the hull surface and the water. A substantial portion of the submerged area of the ship's hull comprises densely packed air pockets. The dimension of the air pocket is less than twice the capillary length of water. Each air pocket is supplied with pressurised gas by means of a restrictor. The pressurised air is supplied to each air pocket by means of a network of corrugated channels.

Watercraft with shape chamber
10526047 · 2020-01-07 ·

An additional chamber to watercraft that adds both volume and curvature to other compartments or components of the watercraft that are essentially flat is described. The additional chamber provides for modular construction of watercraft for creating volumetric space as well as a curved surface to the outer portion of the watercraft. The chamber advantageously increases the aesthetic appeal of the watercraft as well as provides a surface on which water is discouraged from pooling or collecting on. Various watercrafts having such a chamber are also described.

Method for repairing defects in metal structures

A method for repairing a crack in ships or other structures that includes adhesively applying fiber reinforced metal matrix composite tape across the crack of the structure to reduce propagation of the crack and provide additional structural stability until the crack can be permanently repaired.

RUDDER BLADE WITH A MODULAR STRUCTURE, SEGMENT FOR A RUDDER BLADE OR FOR AN APPARATUS FOR IMPROVING PROPULSION AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A RUDDER BLADE
20190161151 · 2019-05-30 · ·

In order to provide a rudder blade, which has a low level of weight, is easier and more inexpensive to manufacture, that meets the various strength and stability requirements for various rudder-blade sections, which can be at least partly manufactured in an automated manner and for which the manufacturing of irregular surfaces, in particular, the leading edge, is made easier, a rudder blade is proposed, which has a modular structure, wherein the rudder blade comprises at least two prefabricated rudder-blade segments and is composed of the at least two prefabricated rudder-blade segments.
