A shiplift includes a pier defining a space. The pier includes lifting apparatus. The shiplift includes a shiplift platform configured to fit within the space defined by the pier. One or more movable connectors are mechanically coupled to the shiplift platform. Each movable connector is configured to move into at least two positions, including a first position and a second position. In the first position, the movable connectors are mechanically coupled to the shiplift platform and positioned to allow the shiplift platform to enter the space defined by the pier. In the second position, the movable connectors are mechanically coupled to the shiplift platform and positioned to mechanically couple to the lifting apparatus of the pier.

A system for use with a Luxury Boat, when the Luxury Boat is in Temporary Dry Storage involves a sensor is configured to sense a trigger signal from a boat-based pump controller indicating that raw water is to be pumped to at least one Auxiliary System and send a signal to a second controller that will cause the second controller to start a pump, external to the Luxury Boat, pumping antifreeze from a reservoir to at least one Auxiliary System on the Luxury Boat in Temporary Dry Storage. An associated method is also disclosed. A system involving a a raw water collar that forms a seal against a hull of a Luxury Boat about a scoop strainer of the Luxury Boat through which raw water can be supplied when the Luxury Boat is in Temporary Dry Storage is also described.

Convertible water-side accessory structures and devices make up a system that can be mounted or installed on vehicles, boats, boat docks, or water-side structures in, around, or in close proximity to ponds, lakes, creeks, streams, rivers, natural or man-made pools, oceans, or sea-side applications for recreational, industrial and/or commercial uses at or near the water level including: a water level bench convertible to a dry diving platform, or dry bench, or shelf or other use; a secondary below water footrest/bench when combined with the water level bench, can be converted to a high-level bench, a tabletop, a shelf, dry stow or other uses; a water level ladder convertible to become dry tiered seating, tiered shelving, tiered tabletops or other uses; a water level watercraft support convertible to become a dry diving platform, dry bench, or shelf; and a jib hoist assembly for line attachment to a watercraft.

A limit switch device for a boat lift includes a lower gear connected to and rotated by a drive shaft of the boat lift, and an interengaged upper gear operatively connected to an electronics module of the limit switch. The interengaged gears are enclosed within a gear housing that is sufficiently narrow to restrict the gears from laterally disengaging one another. The limit switch electronics module is mounted above the drive shaft and disposed interiorly of the gear mechanism. The module does not protrude beyond the frame bearing blocks that rotatably support the drive shaft and winder of the boat lift.

A limit switch device for a boat lift includes a lower gear connected to and rotated by a drive shaft of the boat lift, and an interengaged upper gear operatively connected to an electronics module of the limit switch. The interengaged gears are enclosed within a gear housing that is sufficiently narrow to restrict the gears from laterally disengaging one another. The limit switch electronics module is mounted above the drive shaft and disposed interiorly of the gear mechanism. The module does not protrude beyond the frame bearing blocks that rotatably support the drive shaft and winder of the boat lift.

A bunk for a boat lift includes a bottom portion pivotally configured to attach to one or more lifting beams of the boat lift. A top portion is positionably securable to the bottom portion wherein the top portion comprises includes a boat engaging surface having a first end and a second end wherein the first end is a first distance from a midplane of the top portion and the second end is a second distance from the midplane of the top portion. The top portion is positionable into a first position where the boat engaging surface is in a first position relative to the bottom portion and wherein the top portion is positionable into a second position by moving the top portion end for end relative to the bottom portion wherein boat engaging surface is a second position relative to the bottom portion.

A bunk for a boat lift includes a bottom portion pivotally configured to attach to one or more lifting beams of the boat lift. A top portion is positionably securable to the bottom portion wherein the top portion comprises includes a boat engaging surface having a first end and a second end wherein the first end is a first distance from a midplane of the top portion and the second end is a second distance from the midplane of the top portion. The top portion is positionable into a first position where the boat engaging surface is in a first position relative to the bottom portion and wherein the top portion is positionable into a second position by moving the top portion end for end relative to the bottom portion wherein boat engaging surface is a second position relative to the bottom portion.

There is provided a storage system for storing and retrieving watercraft or other items to or from a storage position in a storage area as part of an enclosure having a plurality of storage areas. The storage system may include at least one carrier to support the item during movement to or from a storage position, and a positioning system to move the carrier system. An elevator system is usable to move the positioning system and carrier system to and from a storage area, and a control system is usable to control the positioning system to move the carrier system and item into and out of its storage position.
