GEOFENCED AUTONOMOUS AQUATIC DRONE
20250057132 · 2025-02-20 ·

A geofenced autonomous aquatic drone for repelling sharks from a shoreline. The drone employs a buoyant housing resembling a portion of a predator such as an orca whale. A battery positioned within the drone is recharged through a floating inductive charging station. A transmitter unit coupled to at least one under water transducer introduces certain sounds, such as reproduction of orca whale or dolphin calling sounds. A propulsion system controlled a microprocessor receives location information via DGPS for providing a geofence around an area to be patrolled. The drone travels within the geofence area, monitored by the DGPS receiver, while said transducer produces certain sounds and or a solution of shark repellant is dispensed.

A search and rescue drone system includes a buoyant body member, a frame attached to the buoyant body member for carrying a motor and propeller, and an electronic array including a camera, GPS, an EPIRB radio distress beacon, and a transmitter/receiver for remote control flying the drone and communicating with an operator. A laser guidance system may provide coordinates for landing near a swimmer in distress. The search and rescue drone may also be programmed to simply fly to the location of an electronic wearable device, like a bracelet, that is worn by a man overboard. In another embodiment, the search and rescue drone includes pivoting motor mounts, so that it can take off and land vertically with propellers rotating in a horizontal plane, and then the propellers may pivot to rotate in a vertical plane for propulsion across water similar to a fan boat with rescued people aboard.

Life-saving jacket with integrated EPIRB radio

The lifesaving jacket with integrated EPIRB radio is a personal safety device that is adapted for use by an individual. The lifesaving jacket with integrated EPIRB radio is designed to be worn as a garment during emergency situations. Should the individual wearing the garment come into the distress during the emergency situation, the individual can activate a beacon that is incorporated into the garment such that a distress message including the GPS coordinates of the garment is transmitted to the appropriate authorities indicating the need for assistance. The lifesaving jacket with integrated EPIRB radio comprises a vest, a beacon, and a pocket.

System, method and apparatus for radio frequency based location and tracking

A method for wirelessly transmitting geographic coordinate information and a system and apparatus implementing the method. The method may include obtaining a latitude coordinate and a longitude coordinate, correlating a first radio frequency to the latitude coordinate, correlating a second radio frequency to the longitude coordinate, transmitting a signal at the first radio frequency, and transmitting a signal at the second radio frequency.

SHARK-PROOF WRIST BAND COMPRISING AN ELECTROMAGNETIC-BASED SHARK REPELLENT SYSTEM
20250098663 · 2025-03-27 ·

A wrist-worn electromagnetic pulse generating wearable device for repelling great white sharks, tiger sharks, and bull sharks. i.e., the lethal shark breeds. The device includes an artificial intelligence/machine learning component (AI/ML) trained on a dataset including characteristics of the lethal shark breeds. A hydroactive sensor activates the device upon immersion in marine or fresh water. A signal generating component, responsive to AI/ML component, generates an ELF signal that radiates out to a 4 m area surrounding the user to repel shark attacks. Wave pulse characteristics, such as frequency, waveshape, and magnitude are determined by the AI/ML algorithm based on the detected shark breed. Antenna design based on fractal geometry (e.g., the T-square fractal, or the Sierpinski Triangle) generates an ideal isotropic radiation pattern. The wrist-mounted form factor of the inventive device offers improved performance over prior art devices.

Life saving apparatus

A life saving apparatus is presented. The apparatus activates an alarm and/or a notification when a person is in distress such as when a swimmer is drowning. In one embodiment, the alarm or notification may include an audio, a visual and/or combination thereof signal or indication that the person is in distress. The alarm or notification may be provided on a device held or attached to the person, at a base station in proximity to the person, or a combination thereof. In one embodiment, a locator provides an ability to identify the person in distress when that person is located in proximity to other persons so that aid can be given as quickly as possible.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR WATER SPORTS AUTOMATION AND ENHANCED SITUATIONAL AWARENESS

The invention relates to a comprehensive safety system for water sports activities, integrating advanced SMART components to enhance participant security and situational awareness. The system includes a participant's FOB device equipped with a microcontroller, CPU, RF transmitters, receivers, and data processors to detect water immersion. Upon detection, an alarm device on the watercraft activates, and a smart flag automatically raises, emitting visual and auditory signals to alert nearby individuals and vessels. A captain's console provides centralized control, enabling remote operation of alarms and flags while displaying real-time status through a smart device application. Unique identifiers prevent false alarms by ensuring interactions only between paired components. The system employs multimodal immersion detection, GPS-based tracking, and a Man Down Switch to cut off the engine when necessary. This robust design combines precise detection, communication, and safety measures, ensuring reliability in diverse environments and scenarios.
