Spinal surgery system and methods of use
A method for surgically treating a spine comprising the steps of: pre-operatively imaging vertebral tissue; displaying a first image of a surgical treatment configuration for the vertebral tissue from a mixed reality display and/or a second image of a surgical strategy for implementing the surgical treatment configuration with the vertebral tissue from the mixed reality display; determining a surgical plan for implementing the surgical strategy; and intra-operatively displaying a third image of the surgical plan with the vertebral tissue from the mixed reality display. Systems, spinal constructs, implants and surgical instruments are disclosed.

The system also includes a control tower coupled to the surgical console and the surgical robotic arm. The control tower is configured to process the user input to control the surgical instrument and to record the user input as input data; communicate the input data and the video data to at least one machine learning system configured to generate a surgical process evaluator; and execute the surgical process evaluator to determine whether the surgical instrument is properly positioned relative to the tissue.
SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR SUTURING GUIDANCE
A tissue suturing guidance system includes an image capturing device, a display, and a processor in communication with the image capturing device and the display. The image capturing device is configured to capture a suture site. The display is configured to display an image of the suture site. The processor is configured to: determine, based on the image of the suture site, a geometric tissue representation of the suture site; access measured properties of the suture site; determine, based on the measured properties of the suture site, a biomechanical tissue representation of the suture site; and generate, based on the geometric tissue representation and biomechanical tissue representation of the suture site, a suturing configuration for the suture site.
FOOT PEDAL CONTROL UNIT
The invention relates to a foot pedal control unit for an ophthalmic surgery system. The unit has a base and a treadle that is configured for pivotal pitch movement and for pivotal yaw movement relative to the base for generating control signals to an ophthalmic surgery system. The unit further comprises an inlay cover that is removably placed on the treadle. Optionally, the unit comprises a locking element that is movable between a lock position wherein the treadle is locked against pivotal yaw movement and a release position wherein the treadle is enabled to perform pivotal yaw movement.
Systems, devices, and methods for designing and forming a surgical implant
A method is provided for determining the shape of a surgical linking device that is to be attached to a bony body structure such as the spinal column based on digitized locations of a plurality of attachment elements engaged to the bony structure. The method is implemented by a computer system through a GUI to generate an initial bend curve to mate with the plurality of attachment elements. The initial bend curve may be simplified based on user input to the GUI to reduce the number of bends necessary to produce a well-fitting linking device and may be altered to help obtain the goals of surgery.
Sterile adapter drive disks for use in a robotic surgical system
Generally, a sterile adapter for use in robotic surgery may include a frame configured to be interposed between a tool driver and a surgical tool, a plate assembly coupled to the frame, and at least one rotatable coupler supported by the plate assembly and configured to communicate torque from an output drive of the tool driver to an input drive of the surgical tool.
PROGRAM, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND MODEL GENERATION METHOD
A non-transitory computer-readable medium (CRM) storing computer program code executed by a computer processor that executes a process, an information processing apparatus, and a model generation method that outputs complication information for a medical treatment. The process includes acquiring a medical image obtained by imaging a lumen organ of a patient before treatment, inputting the acquired medical image into a trained model so as to output complication information on a complication that is likely to occur after the treatment when the medical image is received, and outputting the complication information. Preferably, complication information including a type of the complication that is likely to occur and a probability value indicating an occurrence probability of the complication of the type is output.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DEPLOYING AN IMPLANTABLE MEDICAL DEVICE
Improvements to devices, systems, and methods for delivering and/or deploying an implantable medical device are described. An implantable medical device may include an annuloplasty ring for implantation on a valve of a patient. Systems and methods may be configured to present graphical user interfaces with device images to implement efficient and accurate implantation of the implantable medical device. The device images may be based on sensor information obtained via sensors associated with the implantable medical device, such as a camera device, a diagnostic imaging device, position sensors, and/or the like. In other aspects, systems and methods may determine optimized configurations for the implantable medical device based on device characteristics including, without limitation, a shape formed by components of the implantable medical device and/or component coordinate information. Systems and methods may operate to facilitate deployment of the implantable medical device to correspond with the optimized configuration. Other embodiments are described.
ROBOTIC REVISION KNEE ARTHROPLASTY VIRTUAL RECONSTRUCTION SYSTEM
Systems that may be used for performing a robotic revision knee arthroplasty are disclosed. Such systems can optionally include a processor that can: intraoperatively receive a plurality of position data obtained by a robotic surgical device after a primary implant has been removed from a bone, the plurality of position data correspond to a plurality of landmarks of the bone of a patient, the plurality of landmarks include a position of an intramedullary canal of the bone; select from a database having a plurality of mean models of a corresponding bone a mean model that comprises a best match based upon the plurality of landmarks of the bone; generate an updated model by altering the mean model to fit an anatomy of the bone of the patient based upon the plurality of landmarks; and output to a user interface the updated model for use during the robotic revision knee arthroplasty.
