Marine outboard motor with a transmission lubrication system and lubricant filter
A marine outboard motor for a marine vessel is provided. The marine outboard motor includes an internal combustion engine, a drive shaft configured to transmit a drive force from the internal combustion engine, a propeller shaft, and a drive transmission configured to transmit the drive force from the drive shaft to the propeller shaft. The motor also includes a lubrication system configured to convey lubricant along a lubricant flow path to lubricate one or both of the drive transmission and the drive shaft, and a lubricant filter provided along the lubricant flow path and configured to remove solid contaminants from the lubricant as it flows along the lubricant flow path. The lubricant filter is configured to be driven by the drive shaft.
Hybrid type vessel propulsion apparatus
A vessel propulsion apparatus includes a first transmission path that transmits the power of an engine to a propeller shaft, a second transmission path that transmits the power of a motor to the propeller shaft, and a controller. A first clutch cuts off the power transmission of the first transmission path in a first disconnection state, and permits the power transmission of the first transmission path in a first connection state. A second clutch cuts off the power transmission of the second transmission path in a second disconnection state, and permits the power transmission of the second transmission path in a second connection state. The controller executes tuning control of both the engine and the motor when the first clutch is switched between the first disconnection state and the first connection state and when the second clutch is switched between the second connection state and the second disconnection state.

OUTBOARD ENGINE
There are included: a motor contained in a top cover; a vertical shaft that is rotationally driven by the motor, the vertical shaft being contained in an extension casing; and a propeller that is rotationally driven by the vertical shaft, the propeller being provided at a gear casing. A heat exchanging member is provided that is positioned below an anticavitation plate and above a propeller shaft that rotationally drives the propeller, and inside the heat exchanging member, a cooling oil channel member is provided that cooling oil for cooling the motor flows through.

OUTBOARD MOTOR
An outboard motor includes an engine, an upper case, a lower case, a cavitation plate, a transmission, a cooling water passage, a first pump, and a second pump. The transmission includes a drive shaft and a propeller shaft. The cooling water passage is connected to the engine and located in the upper case and the lower case. The first pump is above the cavitation plate. The first pump is connected to the drive shaft and operable to send cooling water to the engine through the cooling water passage. The second pump is drivable by the driving force from the transmission to send the cooling water to the engine through the cooling water passage.

JET DRIVE MARINE ENGINE MAINTENANCE TOOL
A multipurpose maintenance tool for a mechanical assembly. The tool includes a central body and an elongated shank extending in a longitudinal direction from the central body to a lever end. A foreign object removing element has a foreign body engaging surface. The element extends from the central body generally opposite the shank. A fastener engaging formation is formed on the shank, the removing element, and/or the central body. The formation is sized and shaped for engaging a fastener on the assembly to selectively tighten and loosen the fastener. A lateral extension extends from the central body to span an opening in the assembly and engage opposite margins adjacent the opening. As the shank is pivoted about the extension, the removal surface pivots about the lateral extension in a direction corresponding to the angular direction of the shank to dislodge foreign objects from the opening in the assembly.
