SURGICAL SLEEVE
A surgical sleeve for providing grip is provided. The surgical sleeve comprises a tubular gauze comprising an elongate body having a bore extending from a first end to a second end. The body has an opening at the first end and is closed at the second end. The surgical sleeve also includes a securing member operable to secure the opening to an appendage. The securing member is movable from an expanded diameter to a non-expanded diameter for insertion or removal of an appendage or instrument into or from the sleeve. The surgical sleeve also comprises a radiopaque thread secured to the body.

An apparatus comprising a vibrating finger device useful in a medical setting includes a device body configured to fit on a finger of a wearer, a vibrating unit, a touch sensitive sensor, and a control module including a computerized processor. The control module includes programming configured to monitor an activation input to the device, determine the monitored activation input to indicate a threshold desired vibration activation input, and activate a vibration cycle within the vibrating unit based upon the determination.
Finger-splinting sheath device and method
A finger-splinting sheath device is provided for use as a self-treatment aid in assisting a bowel in a patient suffering from complications of pelvic organ prolapse, namely rectocele. The finger-splinting sheath device generally includes a monolithic molded body including a flange-element, and a sheath-element having a proximal end and a distal end, wherein the sheath-element is coupled to the flange-element at the proximal end and is closed at the distal end. The sheath-element generally includes an elliptical cross-section configured to receive two-fingers therein, wherein the sheath-element functions to splint the two fingers during use. A method for using the device includes inserting the device with two fingers within the sheath-element into the vagina and applying pressure to the vaginal walls to assist a bowel movement.
