SHIP HANDLING DEVICE
The purpose is providing a ship handling device easily determining a predetermined correction coefficient regardless of positions of a side thruster and a forward/backward propeller and the center of gravity of a ship and the shape of the ship. The device is provided with a joystick lever for indicating a propulsion direction and the magnitude of thrust by tilting direction and angle, wherein: a lateral movement thrust is generated by the side thruster in accordance with the joystick lever; a first correction thrust is generated by the forward/backward propeller in accordance with the joystick lever so as to cancel out a rotation moment; and a first correction coefficient for calculating a first correction thrust with respect to the lateral movement thrust is determined.

A controller receives a signal indicating an operating amount and an operating direction of a steering member. When the operating amount of the steering member is greater than or equal to a steering threshold, the controller causes right and left propulsion devices to generate thrusts oriented in opposite directions in a back-and-forth direction such that a vessel body is turned in a corresponding direction to the operating direction of the steering member.

According to an example aspect of the present invention, there is provided a manoeuvring system comprising at least one unit comprising a channel having a longitudinal axis and comprising at least one water intake opening, at least one water nozzle arranged within the channel and configured to guide a water flow through the at least one water intake opening at an angle relative to the longitudinal axis and in a plane perpendicular or substantially perpendicular to the Earth's normal, at least one piping connected to the channel at a first end and connected to the at least one water nozzle at a second end, and at least one pump arranged between the first end and the second end and configured to control a water flow through the at least one water nozzle.
