BRAKE MODULE FOR SUBMERSIBLE AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE

A brake module for submersible autonomous vehicles is disclosed. The brake module is operatively coupled to a fluid propulsion system of an autonomous vehicle and includes a braking mechanism configured to selectively engage a wheel of the autonomous vehicle. The braking mechanism allows or restricts the wheel to rotate when the fluid propulsion system operates with an operating parameter above a parameter threshold.

Parachute sea anchor

This invention relates to a parachute sea anchor system deployable from a payload tube. There is provided a parachute sea anchor system suitable for launch from a vessel comprising at least one payload tube, said payload tube, comprising a payload canister, which comprises a parachute sea anchor, wherein said parachute sea anchor comprises a buoy tethered thereto, wherein said payload canister is attached to said vessel.

AUTOMATED WATERCRAFT OPERATING SYSTEM AND METHOD

An automated watercraft operating system includes a watercraft operating controller and an obstacle sensor. The watercraft operating controller is disposed in a watercraft and is configured or programmed to control a marine propulsion device. The obstacle sensor is configured to detect an obstacle in the surroundings of the watercraft. When the watercraft operating controller determines that a shift state of the marine propulsion device is not switchable, the watercraft operating controller is configured or programmed to stop driving a driver in the marine propulsion device in accordance with a result of detection by the obstacle sensor.

A control device for a marine vessel includes a hull, a pair of water resistance bodies, and a controller. The pair of water resistance bodies are provided on the hull, one on a left side and one on a right side of the hull, each independently movable between a first position in which a resistance received from water in a predetermined direction is adjustable to a first magnitude, and a second position in which a resistance is adjustable to zero or to a second magnitude smaller than the first magnitude. The controller is configured or programmed to acquire wind speed, acquire tidal current speed, and control is configured or programmed to control the pair of water resistance bodies based on the wind speed and the tidal current speed.
