SIDE WALL PORTION OF AN AIRCRAFT CABIN, FUSELAGE STRUCTURE AND AIRCRAFT HAVING THE SAME
20230029285 · 2023-01-26 ·

A side wall portion of an aircraft has an integrated structural battery and heating member. The side wall portion has a plurality of solar cells arranged on an inner circumferential surface of a window frame structure. The electrical energy produced by the solar cells is stored in the structural battery and output to the heating members, so as to heat the side wall portion. With this a thinner thermal insulation of the fuselage structure is possible in the vicinity of the seats so as to allow for an additional seat in the abreast direction.

FUEL TANK ACCESS PANEL HEAT EXCHANGER

An access panel to be received in an access aperture in a lower skin of a wing on an aircraft incorporates a body surrounded by a sealing flange. The body is configured to be received in the access aperture and the sealing flange is configured to be received on a sealing land surrounding the access aperture. An integral heat exchanger extends from a top surface of the body into a fuel tank in the wing to conduct heat from the fuel to an external surface of the access panel.

System for operating an aircraft door

Systems and methods for operating an aircraft door including an airstair are disclosed. In one embodiment, the system includes a hinge configured to pivotally couple a lower portion of the door to a fuselage of an aircraft, a lift mechanism and an interlock. The lift mechanism causes a movement of the door relative to the hinge between a lowered position and a lifted position. The interlock is configurable between: a locked configuration where the movement of the door relative to the hinge is prevented; and an unlocked configuration where the movement of the door relative to the hinge is permitted.

Monument having attachment system with corner bracket fitting

A monument is presented. The monument comprises a floor panel; a left face panel perpendicular to the floor panel; a right face panel perpendicular to the floor panel; and an attachment system connecting the floor panel, the left face panel, and the right face panel. The attachment system comprises a right corner bracket fitting connecting the right face panel to the floor panel; a left corner bracket fitting connecting the left face panel to the floor panel; and a filler panel connected to and extending between the right corner bracket fitting and the left corner bracket fitting.

Bifold door with spherical bearing and pin

A bifold door includes a first hinge and a second hinge configured to rotatably couple the bifold door to a doorframe. The bifold door includes a slider configured to slide within a track of the doorframe as the bifold door is opened and closed. At least one of the first hinge, the second hinge, and the slider includes a spherical bearing and a pin.

ON-BOARD TOILET CUBICLE

An on-board toilet cubicle for an aircraft, including a front long side and a rear long side; a front short side and a rear short side, which are each connected at one end to the front long side and at their other end to the rear long side, the long sides and the short sides enclosing an interior of the on board toilet cubicle, and the front and the rear long sides each being wider than the front and the rear short sides; a toilet unit with a toilet opening; and an L-shaped door for accessing the on-board toilet cubicle, the L-shaped door having one door leg in the front long side and one door leg in the front short side, the toilet unit arranged adjacent to the rear long side, and the door leg in the front long side being wider than the door leg in the front short side.

A device for releasing a panel of an aircraft, the device being configured to be secured to a support, the support having an opening and the device being attached to cover a periphery of the opening, the device comprising a panel configured to be arranged at least opposite the opening. Such a device comprises: at least two ejector members, each of the at least two ejector members comprising at least one link; and at least one control member for applying a pulling force to the at least one link.

Emergency egress in a blended wing body aircraft

Technologies for providing emergency egress routes for a blended wing body aircraft are described herein. In some examples, the emergency egress routes are through a side cabin bulkhead and aft one or more cargo holds. In some examples, the blended wing body aircraft has wings that are high geometry wings. In these examples, the emergency egress routes do not penetrate an aft spar, reducing weight and increasing the integrity of the aircraft.

Door for separating two environments with different pressures

A door that is adapted to separating two environments with different pressures and to an aircraft with such a door. The door may include a door leaf, a door frame having a door stop and a roller, and an actuating system having a latch element and an inward-moving drive system. The inward-moving drive system may include a puller shaft and a puller that is non-rotatably attached to the puller shaft. The puller may include a guide rail that moves along the roller during a rotation of the puller such that the puller moves the door leaf in direction of the first environment thereby disengaging the latch element from the door stop.
