Rotating retractable step system

A rotating retractable step system positioned within a cutout of a wall is presented. The rotating retractable step system comprises a foot pedal and a support shaft. The foot pedal is configured to be stowed in a vertical orientation within the cutout of the wall, and to rotate between the vertical orientation and a horizontal orientation. The support shaft is associated with the foot pedal, such that movement of the support shaft extends the foot pedal outwardly away from the cutout, or retracts the foot pedal towards the cutout.

A latch arrangement for a door includes a plurality of steps disposed at an interior of the door. One of the plurality of steps is rotatable relative to the door between a first position and a second position. The door is movable between a closed position and an open position. A latch is in operable communication with the rotatable step. The latch is engageable with a latch receiver to lock the door in the closed position in response to the rotatable step being in the first position. The latch is disengageable from the latch receiver when the step is in the second position thereby allowing the door to move to the open position.

Air inlet with integrated structural hand hold

This disclosure relates to an air inlet for an aircraft with an integrated hand hold. One innovative aspect of the subject matter described herein can be implemented as an air inlet on the exterior surface of a cowling for a rotorcraft, wherein the air inlet having a scoop that includes a bottom surface having a wide, flat, front edge that angles downward towards the back, an opening in the back for air to enter, and two lateral sides coupled to the bottom surface, where the two sides are planar on a top surface and become longer in height towards the opening in the back, and hand hold, where the hand hold is a trough or an indentation in the bottom surface of the scoop that extends along a side.

MULTIROTOR JOINED-WING AIRCRAFT WITH VTOL CAPABILITIES

A multirotor aircraft that is adapted for vertical take-off and landing. The multirotor aircraft comprises a fuselage, a tail boom that is provided with a vertical fin, a thrust producing units assembly that is provided for producing thrust in operation, at least one lower wing which comprises a lower wing inboard section that is connected to the fuselage and a lower wing outboard section that forms a lower wing tip, and at least one upper wing which is connected to the vertical fin and which forms an upper wing tip. The at least one upper wing is joined to the at least one lower wing in a joined-wing configuration.

MULTIROTOR JOINED-WING AIRCRAFT WITH VTOL CAPABILITIES

A multirotor aircraft that is adapted for vertical take-off and landing. The multirotor aircraft comprises a fuselage, a tail boom that is provided with a vertical fin, a thrust producing units assembly that is provided for producing thrust in operation, at least one lower wing which comprises a lower wing inboard section that is connected to the fuselage and a lower wing outboard section that forms a lower wing tip, and at least one upper wing which is connected to the vertical fin and which forms an upper wing tip. The at least one upper wing is joined to the at least one lower wing in a joined-wing configuration.

Step handhold and support

A fairing is provided in one example embodiment and may include an apparatus to receive at least one of a foot traffic load and a hand traffic load, wherein the apparatus can include: a step portion that is to receive at least a portion of the foot traffic load; a handhold portion that is to receive at least a portion of the hand traffic load, wherein the handhold portion extends downward from the step portion; and a support structure, wherein the support structure extends downward from of the step portion. The apparatus can include an outer flange attached to the fairing. At least a portion of the step portion the apparatus can be recessed within the fairing at a distance between one inch and three inches from a top surface of the fairing. The handhold portion can include one or more drain holes.

AIRCRAFT AIR STAIR SUPPORT

Air stair support systems, stair support cable assemblies, and hooks are disclosed herein. A stair support system includes, but is not limited to, an aircraft fuselage, a door seal, a stair door, and a stair support cable assembly. The aircraft fuselage defines a door frame and a stair hook receptacle. The stair door has a retracted position within the door frame and an extended position that forms an entry/exit stairway. The stair support cable assembly includes a cable and two hooks. The first hook includes a curved end portion configured to hook onto the stair hook receptacle, a cable end portion secured to the cable, and an intermediate portion having first and second intermediate legs that extend the intermediate portion away from the door seal when installed on the door frame and the stair door. The second hook is configured to hook on the stair door.

AIRCRAFT AIR STAIR SUPPORT

Air stair support systems, stair support cable assemblies, and hooks are disclosed herein. A stair support system includes, but is not limited to, an aircraft fuselage, a door seal, a stair door, and a stair support cable assembly. The aircraft fuselage defines a door frame and a stair hook receptacle. The stair door has a retracted position within the door frame and an extended position that forms an entry/exit stairway. The stair support cable assembly includes a cable and two hooks. The first hook includes a curved end portion configured to hook onto the stair hook receptacle, a cable end portion secured to the cable, and an intermediate portion having first and second intermediate legs that extend the intermediate portion away from the door seal when installed on the door frame and the stair door. The second hook is configured to hook on the stair door.

FULLY FAIRED LANDING GEAR WITH INTEGRATED STEP

An aircraft landing gear assembly has a longitudinally elongated frame coupled to a lower portion of a fuselage of an aircraft, the frame being capable of supporting at least a portion of the weight of the aircraft. A fairing encloses substantially all of the frame. An optional integrated step can be carried by the frame, and a longitudinally elongated aperture would be formed in the fairing adjacent the step. The step allows a user to place a foot into the aperture and onto the step. An optional door can cover the aperture, and an optional secondary step can be carried by the door.

Entry handle for an aircraft doorway

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide an entry assist system for an aircraft doorway. The system includes a securement member configured to be secured into at least one aperture of the doorway, a handle portion pivotally attached to the securement member, and a releasable locking feature for locking the handle portion. A mounting device is used for securing the stationary member to an existing aperture in the doorway and for removing the entry assist system when no longer needed. The securement member forms a stationary portion along an inner edge of the doorway. The handle portion includes a hub configured for rotating about an axle that is coupled to an interface of the securement member. The hub and interface interconnect to form the releasable locking feature for locking the handle in a collapsed position adjacent the securement member or in an extended position protruding outside the doorway.
