Surgical Drape
20170258543 · 2017-09-14 ·

Disclosed is a surgical drape configured to selectively allow or block a patient's view of the surgical field, as is desired in Caesarean section operations. Generally, the drape includes a main sheet, a substantially transparent sheet attached to the main sheet proximal the patient's head, and a substantially opaque screen attached to the patient-facing side of the substantially transparent sheet. This substantially opaque screen occludes the patient's visual access through the substantially transparent sheet but may be at least partially removed to permit the patient viewing access through the substantially transparent sheet towards the area of the surgery, without compromising the sterility of the surgical field. Desirably, the drape is provided with an adhesive strip disposed on the sheet or screen to permit reconnection to thereby again occlude the patient's view through the sheet.

DATA ANALYTICS AND INTERFACE PLATFORM FOR PORTABLE SURGICAL ENCLOSURE

Provided herein is a portable surgical system designed for interoperability with surgical or research tools and processes. The portable surgical system may comprise a portable enclosure and one or more sensors. Also provided herein are methods for training surgery robots for use with the system and manufacturing the portable surgical system.

AN ANATOMICAL DRAPE DEVICE
20170252117 · 2017-09-07 ·

An anatomical drape, such as a dental drape, for covering a treatment area of an anatomical part, the drape comprising an elastomeric material capable of conforming to the contours of the anatomical part and including a curing agent wherein activation of the curing agent, for example by a light source, causes selective hardening of the stretched material to at least partially set the drape in a configuration conforming to the anatomical part. The semi-rigid set drape is liquid impermeable but gas permeable. A method of manufacturing the drape is also disclosed.

CIPROFLOXACIN OTIC COMPOSITION AND KITS AND METHOD FOR USING SAME

Disclosed herein are otic product kits for administration of a sterilized formulation. In some embodiments, the otic product kit comprises: an aseptic container containing the sterilized formulation; a syringe; and an administration needle connectable to the syringe, wherein the sterilized formulation comprising: from about 5.5 wt % to about 6.5 wt % multiparticulate ciprofloxacin; from about 15 wt % to about 17 wt % poloxamer 407; and water. Also disclosed herein are methods of preparing and administrating the sterilized formulation. In some embodiments, the method comprising (1) transferring the sterilized otic formulation from an aseptic container to a syringe through a preparation needle; (2) replacing the preparation needle with an administration needle; and (3) injecting the sterilized otic formulation from the syringe through the administration needle into the ear of a patient.

Surgical robot platform

A medical robot system, including a robot coupled to an end effector element with the robot configured for controlled movement and positioning. The robot system includes a robot base having a display, a robot arm coupled to the robot base, wherein movement of the robot arm is electronically controlled by the robot base. The end-effector is coupled to the robot arm, containing one or more end-effector tracking markers. The system also includes a plurality of dynamic reference bases (DRB) attached to multiple patient fixture instruments, wherein the plurality of dynamic reference bases include one or more tracking markers indicating a position of the patient fixture instrument in a navigational space. The system also includes a first camera system and a second camera system, the first and second camera systems being able to detect a plurality of tracking markers.

APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR USE WITH IMAGE-GUIDED SKELETAL PROCEDURES
20210386480 · 2021-12-16 · ·

A procedure is performed with respect to a skeletal portion within a body with a tool mounted upon a steerable arm. 3D image data is acquired of the skeletal portion. First and second x-ray images of the tool and the skeletal portion are acquired from respective first and second views. A computer processor (22) (i) registers the first and second images to the image data, (ii) identifies a location of the tool with respect to the skeletal portion, within the first and second images, (iii) determines the tool's location with respect to the image data, (iv) compares the tool's location with a designated locational element, (v) calculates the 3D difference between the tool's location and the locational element, and (vi) generates steering instructions for the arm such that the tool's location matches the locational element. Other applications are also described.
