CATHETER PLACEMENT ASSIST DEVICE AND METHOD OF USE
A single-use, sterile, disposable catheter placement assist device to aid in the sterile placement of transurethral urinary catheters in female patients, and a method for catheter placement using the device. The catheter placement assist device includes a labia separator with flared wings having a curved profile. The wings meet at a valley. The catheter placement assist device also includes a posterior shield that covers the perineal tissues including the anus to prevent contamination of the sterile catheter with bacteria and may further include a spout that may be shallowly inserted into the vagina to position the catheter device to optimize labial separation, retraction of the posterior vaginal wall, perineal shielding, and visualization of the urethral meatus. The additional features of a light, a handle, a catheter tip holder, a swab storage location, and a stackable configuration may further be included with the catheter placement assist device.
Surgical drape for use in cesarean sections
A surgical drape allows access to a vaginal area during cesarean sections without breaking a sterile field. The drape comprises a base sheet defined by an incision panel that overlays a peritoneal region, where the cesarean section primarily occurs; and a vagina panel that overlays a vaginal area. The incision panel has a transparent polymer film panel for viewing the incision. A collection pouch catches bodily fluids. The vagina panel enables sterile manipulation of the vagina while performing the cesarean section. The vagina panel is defined by a viewing pane for viewing the vaginal region through the base sheet. A sleeve extends through a hole in the viewing pane to manipulate the vaginal region and a baby. The sleeve is configured to allow insertion of a hand through an open end, and then manipulate the vaginal region with a closed end without breaking a sterile field.
Surgical drape with integral EMI shielding
A sterile drape positionable covering medical equipment, such as between a robotic manipulator and a sterile surgical instrument. The drape is formed of a flexible sterile material, with conductive ink printed on the flexible material. The drape provides both a sterile barrier and a shield against electrostatic discharge or electromagnetic interference.
Expandable instrument actuator
A robotic system assembly comprises a robotic manipulator including an actuator assembly and a surgical instrument having a base body mountable to the actuator assembly. The base includes a first control input and a second control input, wherein the first and second control inputs are positioned on different sides of the base. The actuator assembly is moveable between open and closed positions to facilitate removal and replacement of surgical instruments. When in the closed positions, drive elements of the actuator assembly are positioned to drive the first and second control inputs of the surgical instrument to cause end effector movement or actuation.
Medical Draping System
A medical draping system for enhancing patient privacy is provided. The system includes a first leg assembly extending upwardly. The system further includes a drape support operatively connected at a top end of the first leg assembly and configured such that in an operative position, the drape support extends at least partially across a patient examination table while spaced above the table. The system further includes at least one clip operatively connected to the drape support, each of the at least one clip configured to secure a sheet to the drape support such that the sheet hangs downwardly from the drape support onto the patient to provide privacy to the patient.
Surgical drape system for urology procedures on male patients
A simple surgical drape system of generally flat shape for male urology procedures that provides full isolation of top versus bottom surface by a sealing fenestration surrounding the meatus area. It is achieved by manually forming the flat drape to a tent-like shape around the penis with a fenestration aperture smaller than glans diameter, supported by and sealing to the glans tip, and then attaching a penile clamp to hold the drape. This allows a simplified safer antibacterial preparation and less chance of infection complications. The sealed design permits better management of urology liquids, and can use absorption pad on drape top side. The drape wrinkles act as a penile position stabilizer, reducing need for extended use of the one operator hand for penile support. Drape is removable with catheter in place.

FLUID INFUSION SYSTEM
A fluid infusion system includes an air pump connected to an accumulator tank to produce pressurized air that is stored in the accumulator tank. The system can include one or more fluid bag chambers wherein each fluid bag chamber includes an inflatable bladder positioned inside the fluid bag chamber to apply pressure on the fluid bag supported inside the chamber. The fluid bag can be connected by a tube set to deliver fluid from the fluid bag to a surgical tool at a surgical site. The fluid can, for example, be irrigation fluid or distention fluid. The system can include a controller connected to the pump to control the pump to produce the pressurized air and an adjustable pressure regulator can be connected between the accumulator tank and the inflatable bladder to control the pressure of air delivered to the inflatable bladder and the pressure that the fluid is delivered to the surgical tool. A pressure sensor can be connected between the adjustable pressure regulator and the inflatable bladder to measure the air pressure delivered to the inflatable bladder and send the air pressure measurements to the controller. The controller can configure the system display to show the air pressure measured by the pressure sensor.
Catheter insertion-tray systems and methods thereof
A catheterization package including a catheterization tray and contents for a catheterization procedure. The catheterization tray can include a structural configuration for maintaining a sterile field about a patient throughout the catheterization procedure, the sterile field including at least a portion of the tray. The structural configuration of the tray can provide a sterile side of the tray designated for a first person performing sterile steps of the catheterization procedure in the sterile field. The structural configuration of the tray can also provide a non-sterile side of the tray designated for either the first person or a second person performing non-sterile steps of the catheterization procedure outside the sterile field. The contents for the catheterization procedure can include a perineal care kit, two or more pairs of gloves, and a drainage system including a catheter.
Surgical drape with canopy
A surgical drape is configured for covering a patient and an ultrasonography probe during surgical treatment of the patient. The surgical drape may comprise a first portion that comprises a canopy portion. The canopy portion can be sized and shaped to at least partially cover a mechanical arm coupled to the ultrasonography probe and a proximal portion of the ultrasonography probe, and the canopy portion can be configured to move with the proximal portion of the ultrasonography probe when the ultrasonography probe is supported by the mechanical arm. A second portion can be coupled to the first portion, in which the second portion is sized and shaped to cover at least a portion of a torso of the patient.
