SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PAYLOAD INTEGRATION AND CONTROL IN A MULTI-MODE UNMANNED VEHICLE
Systems and associated methods for rapid integration and control of payloads carded by a multi-mode, unmanned vehicle configured to accommodate a variety of payloads of varying size, shape, and interface and control characteristics. Mechanical, power, signal, and logical interfaces to a variety of payloads operate to enable environmental protection, efficient placement and connection to the vehicle, and control of those payloads in multiple environmental modes as well as operational modes (including in air, on the surface of water surface, and underwater).
TILTWING AIRCRAFT
An aircraft includes a fuselage defining an aircraft attitude axis. The fuselage houses an engine fixed relative to the aircraft attitude axis. A rotor assembly is operatively connected to rotate back and forth relative to the aircraft attitude axis from a first position predominately for lift to a second position predominately for thrust. The rotor assembly includes a rotor that is operatively connected to be driven by the engine.
Tilt winged multi rotor
A multirotor aircraft that includes a chassis, at least three engines that are equipped with propellers, and one or more axial free wings that are connected to the chassis by axial connections. The leading edges of the one or more axial free wings are designed to face constantly same direction when the multirotor flying, and the attack angles of the one or more axial free wings are designed to be changed relatively to the chassis due to flow of air over the one or more axial free wings.

Jam-tolerant rotary control motor for hydraulic actuator valve
According to one embodiment, a linear control motor includes a first permanent magnet, a coil, a shaft, a first non-magnetic material, and a joint coupled between the shaft and a spool operable to convert rotations of the shaft into axial movements of the spool. The first non-magnetic material is disposed between at least one of the movable components and at least one of the static components and operable to prevent physical contact between at least one of the movable components and at least one of the static components.
AIRCRAFT WING SHIFT DEVICE
An aerial vehicle includes a fuselage, a wing, and a wing shift device. The wing shift device is configured to be coupled to the fuselage. The wing shift device comprises a plurality of apertures for coupling the wing to the aerial vehicle. The plurality of apertures are configured to permit the wing to be shifted in a forward or aft direction along the fuselage based on a center of gravity of the aerial vehicle.
ROTATING WING ASSEMBLIES FOR TAILSITTER AIRCRAFT
A tailsitter aircraft includes one or more rotatable wings. The tailsitter aircraft optionally includes a fuselage from which wing supports extend. Each rotatable wing optionally includes a rotatable wing section having an inboard portion proximate to the fuselage, and an outboard portion distal from the fuselage. The rotatable wing section may be rotatably attached to the wing support and configured to rotate between a vertical flight configuration in which the inboard portion is positioned on an opposing side of the wing support relative to the outboard portion, and a horizontal flight configuration different from the vertical flight configuration. The wings may be rotated during flight to transition between horizontal and vertical flight configurations, and they may be rotated about multiple axes.
ROTATING WING ASSEMBLIES FOR TAILSITTER AIRCRAFT
A tailsitter aircraft includes one or more rotatable wings. The tailsitter aircraft optionally includes a fuselage from which wing supports extend. Each rotatable wing optionally includes a rotatable wing section having an inboard portion proximate to the fuselage, and an outboard portion distal from the fuselage. The rotatable wing section may be rotatably attached to the wing support and configured to rotate between a vertical flight configuration in which the inboard portion is positioned on an opposing side of the wing support relative to the outboard portion, and a horizontal flight configuration different from the vertical flight configuration. The wings may be rotated during flight to transition between horizontal and vertical flight configurations, and they may be rotated about multiple axes.
SOLAR WING
The present invention provides a system configured to move a solar wing in three dimensions to increase downforce and solar panel efficiency. This is accomplished through a solar wing, a drive mechanism, a rail mechanism, and a support mechanism. These components work in conjunction to provide a lightweight and compact system configured to move and rotate a solar wing to maximize downforce and increase solar panel efficiency.
AIRCRAFT HAVING HYDRAULIC SUPPORT STRUTS BETWEEN FUSELAGE AND WINGS
An aircraft with a fuselage and with wings connected thereto, wherein a support strut extends between the fuselage and each of the wings, which support strut is connected both to the fuselage and to the wing. The support strut has a hydraulic working cylinder, which can be pressurized with hydraulic fluid in a controlled manner for the purpose of pivoting the wing.
