Pocket and drape system for providing sterile fields
A pocket and drape system which provides one or more sterile fields, as well as the methodology for employing said pocket and drape system is provided. The pocket and drape includes a base drape material having an upper edge, a lower edge, a first side edge, and a second side edge to define a perimeter, where the base drape material also includes an inner surface and an outer surface. A first row of pockets and a second row of pockets are configured on the inner surface of the base drape material. In addition, a flap covers a portion of the inner surface of the base drape material, where the flap has a first surface and an opposing second surface, wherein the flap maintains at least one sterile field.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING STERILE COVER FOR NON-CONTACT FUNDUS VIEWING DEVICE
An apparatus is provided including a sterile cover. The sterile cover includes a first portion (202) that defines a first cavity such that the first portion is configured to secure a non-sterile inverter (106) of a wide angle viewing attachment for a microscope within the first cavity. The sterile cover also includes a second portion integral with the first portion. The second portion defines a second cavity continuous with the first cavity. The second portion is configured to secure an imaging lens (201) of the microscope within the second cavity. A method is provided for using the microscope including the apparatus. A method is provided for forming the apparatus.
Surgical draping system and method for using same
A surgical draping system includes an under-draping, an over-draping, and a connecting draping connected between the under-draping and the over-draping. The surgical draping system is used to establish and maintain a surgical corridor to a surgical site or sites on a patient supported by a surgical table. The surgical draping system can accommodate rotation of the patient on the surgical table, such that the sterile surgical corridor is maintained even during such rotation. The sterile surgical corridor extends through an aperture formed in the over-draping, through an enclosed passageway formed through the connecting draping, and through an aperture formed in the under-draping.
APPARATUS FOR HOLDING MEDICAL DEVICE
An apparatus for holding a medical device includes: a device sheet perpendicular to the ground; and at least one pocket layer, including a first pocket layer, where the first pocket layer is configured as a single first pocket room in its entirety and has a length enabling the medical device to be laid in the first pocket room without coiling in the presence or absence of one or more suspension elements, and the at least one pocket layer has a structure in which an edge of the at least one pocket layer facing the one or more suspension elements is open and other edges thereof are peripherally attached to the device sheet.
NERVE INJURY PROTECTION DEVICE
A protective device that protects against nerve compression and injury during medical procedures. The device includes an elongated body having a base, and a retention flap and a closure flap joined to the base. The device further includes a closure operable to join the closure flap to the retention flap. The closure may be provided as adhesive field, magnets, a living hinge, or matable structures, such as teeth/sockets, snaps, etc., or tape, strings, sutures or other external elements may be used for joining the flaps. The body may be pretensioned to remain open, or to urge the body to assume a closed configuration. The body may be formed of foam or other flexible/compressible material so as to readily bend and conform to the body and to act to enclose and organize/confine wires/lines used in a medical procedure, and to act as a cushion between such wires/lines and the body.
Cooperative operation of robotic arms
A robotic surgical system for treating a patient comprises a first robotic arm configured to remotely control a surgical instrument that is positionable within a cavity of the patient; a second robotic arm configured to remotely control a device that is passable through an orifice of the patient; and a control circuit communicatively couplable to the first and second robotic arm. The first and second robotic are each attached to a surgical platform. The control circuit is configured to determine a position of the arms; cause each of the first and second robotic arm to change their respective position and orientation based on an adjustment of a platform position of the surgical platform; and control the first robotic arm and the second robotic arm to cooperatively interact to perform a surgical operation.
ELASTOMER THIN SLEEVE FOLDING MECHANISM
A folding device for placing an elastomer thin sleeve on a retainer includes a mandrel, one or more rollers, and a drive system. The mandrel is configured to translate relative to a portion of the folding device. The mandrel is adapted to releasably receive the retainer. The one or more rollers are configured to rotate relative to the mandrel. The rotation of the one or more rollers being configured to fold the sleeve onto the retainer. The drive system is configured to translate the mandrel and turn the one or more rollers.
MEDICAL DRAPE
Disclosed is herein a medical drape, and more particularly, a drape capable of preventing sprays generated from the mouth of a patient during dental treatment from being diffused by a first guard or the like to improve hygiene and fixation.
Sterile cover for a mixed reality (MR) device
