SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR HEMOCLIP DEPLOYMENT
Disclosed are systems and methods for safely and effectively deploying a hemoclip onto a patient's desired target using a hemoclip system. For instance, disclosed is an catheter that includes a lumen for a hemoclip to pass through. Additionally, disclosed are hemoclips that are configured to be in a compressed position until the hemoclip is deployed out of a catheter where it opens. Then, the hemoclip may be clipped onto the target to encapsulate the desired target within the patient. Once the hemoclip is clamped onto the target, the catheter can move onto the next target for successive deployment and utilization of the hemoclips without manual reload.
PIVOTAL BONE ANCHOR ASSEMBLY WITH PRELOADED ARTICULATING RETAINER AND BOTTOM LOADED SHANK
A pivotal bone anchor assembly includes a receiver having central bore with a partially spherical engagement surface adjacent a lower opening, and a shank having a capture portion at a proximal end that is uploadable into the central bore of the receiver through the lower opening. The assembly also includes a retainer comprising a compressible, open ring-shaped body having at least a slit or missing section, a center opening, and an outer partially spherical surface configured for pivotal engagement with the partially spherical engagement surface of the receiver. The assembly further includes an insert comprising a center aperture configured to provide access to the internal drive socket for the drive tool, an upper surface configured to engage the fixation rod, and a lower surface configured to transfer the downwardly-directed force toward the capture portion of the shank to lock the assembly.
DRILLING DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
Devices, systems, and methods for drilling an anatomical element are provided. A drill bit may comprise a coaxial hollow shaft in communication with a plurality of apertures disposed on a surface of the drill bit. A fluid inlet may be in fluid communication with the coaxial hollow shaft via a selectively openable valve. The fluid inlet may be configured to receive pressurized fluid. When the valve is opened, the pressurized fluid may be released into the coaxial hollow shaft, and when at least one of the plurality of apertures is not blocked, the pressurized fluid may be released through the at least one aperture of the plurality of apertures.
TRANSECTION DEVICE
A transection device including a hollow tubular body extending from a proximal end to a distal end. A plurality of stabilizing members extend from the distal end of the tubular body and define a reduced diameter opening into a receiving chamber adjacent the distal end of the tubular body. A blade is positioned within the tubular body and moveable between an initial position within the tubular body to an extended position wherein at least a portion of the blade extends into the receiving chamber. A depressible member extends from the proximal end and is configured to move the blade between the initial position and the extended position. A compression member may be positioned between the plunger member and the blade.
FORCEPS WITH TWO-PART DRIVE BAR
A forceps having a first jaw and a second jaw, where at least one of the first and second jaws is capable of moving between an open position and a closed positions. The forceps including an inner shaft located within an outer shaft and extending along the longitudinal axis, and a drive bar coupled to and extending distally from the inner shaft. The drive bar including a pair of drive bar struts extending from a distal portion of the inner shaft and positioned laterally inward of at least one of first and second set of flanges of the first and second jaws. A drive pin is securable to the pair of drive bar struts and the drive bar is translatable within the outer shaft to translate the drive pin to move the first jaw and/or the second jaw between open and closed positions.
INTERACTION BETWEEN USER-INTERFACE AND MASTER CONTROLLER
A system to control the interaction between a user-interface of a teleoperated surgical system and an input device of the teleoperated surgical system, the system comprising a first master controller communicatively coupled to the teleoperated surgical system, a feedback control communicatively coupled to the first master controller, and a display device communicatively coupled to the teleoperated surgical system and configured to display the user interface. The feedback control is configured to restrict the movement of the first master controller based on a state of the user interface changing from a previous state.
TISSUE PRESSING TOOL
A tissue pressing tool includes: a shaft that extends in one direction; a tissue pressing part that is a rod-like or belt-like member having a rigidity enough to hold a shape thereof even when pressed against a tissue; and a passive bending part that is arranged between the tissue pressing part and the shaft so that the tissue pressing part is capable of bending in all direction around an axis line of the shaft so as to keep an inverted state of the tissue by the tissue pressing part pressing the tissue linearly
Surgical stapling instrument with curved end effector
The present disclosure relates to a surgical stapling instrument comprising a handle assembly, an elongated body portion extending from the handle assembly, and an end effector supported on a distal portion of the elongated body portion. The end effector includes a curved housing having a base portion and a jaw portion, a curved anvil assembly supported on the jaw portion, and a curved cartridge assembly supported on the base portion. The cartridge assembly defining first and second arrays of staples receiving slots, the first array of staple receiving slots includes three rows of staples and the second array of staple receiving slots includes two rows of staples. A height of the staples in each of the rows of three rows of staples of the first array of staple receiving slots is different.
Vaginal manipulator with a head extender
A vaginal manipulator includes a head, a tissue index, a door, and a head extender. The head has a first end connected to a shaft and a distal end opposite of the first end. The tissue index is disposed laterally across the head and is adapted to slide in a longitudinal direction between the first end and the distal end of the head. The door has a pivot portion attached to a distal portion of the head and a free portion that is movable away from the head. The head extender includes a post that is insertable into an orifice formed in the distal end of the head.
Systems and methods for haptic control of a surgical tool
A surgical system includes a surgical tool associated with a virtual haptic interaction point such that movement of the virtual haptic interaction point corresponds to movement of the surgical tool. The surgical system further includes a processing circuit to establish a virtual entry boundary and activate a haptic object, which constrains the surgical tool after the haptic interaction point crosses the virtual entry boundary.
