CHEEK RETRACTOR DEVICE
A dental apparatus for insertion within a person's mouth, in combination with a suction device is provided. The dental apparatus includes a cheek retractor having a pair of wings shaped and adapted to conform to a periphery of a person's mouth and a linking element extending between the pair of arcuate wings. The linking element enabling movement of the pair of wings relative to one another and to bias the arcuate wings into a spaced-apart position, where the arcuate wings are adapted to apply an outwardly oriented force on the cheeks to maintain the cheeks and lips retracted. The apparatus also includes a connection assembly having one or more tubing elements connected to the cheek retractor proximate the arcuate wings and being operatively connected to the suction device, with the suction device being operable to provide suction to a surrounding area of the cheek retractor via the tubing elements.
Aerosol reduction systems and methods
A system for reducing aerosols emitted from a patient on which a medical procedure is being performed. The system comprises a transparent dome and an adapter assembly configured to releasably support the dome. The system additionally comprises a support assembly configured to support the adapter assembly and the dome. The support assembly is adjustable such that the dome can be selectively positioned over an intended body area of the patient and block aerosols emitted from the intended body area.
Device for Protection Against Contamination
The present invention relates to a protective shield which is attached to a mouthguard/which is attached to at least one coupling element which is attached to a pair of glasses or to a mouthguard, the protective shield covering the mouth area and also the eye area and the area of the front cheeks and extending from below the mouth to above the eyebrows.
APPARATUS, SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR NEGATIVE PRESSURE FACE SHIELDING
The disclosed apparatus, systems and methods relate to devices, systems and methods relating to a negative pressure face shield comprising a housing defining a lumen, at least one anterior access port defined within the housing, and a suction port defined within the housing.
Protective Shield for Surgical Microscope
A protective shield for a surgical microscope provides a barrier between a doctor and a patient that is undergoing a surgical procedure. The protective shield is designed to removably mount to the surgical microscope so that the shield can be replaced or removed for sterilization. The protective shield provides protection to the doctor who is placing his/her eyes directly against the binoculars of the microscope without impeding the view through the binoculars. The shield blocks splatter and other bodily fluids coming from in front of or below the lens or operating area.
MEDICAL INSTRUMENT PORT FOR USE WITH PROTECTIVE FACE COVERINGS
A medical instrument port is described for use with a surgical mask or other protective face covering. The medical instrument port provides a sealed pathway through which a medical instrument can be passed without exposing the clinician to aerosolized droplets expelled from the patient's respiratory system when the medical instrument is introduced into the patient's nasal and/or oral passages.
EXTRA-ORAL AEROSOL CAPTURE HOOD
An extra-oral capture hood includes a first cone that provides a first path for a vacuum product through the extra-oral capture hood. A second cone concentric with the first cone and disposed around the first cone provides a second path for the vacuum product through the extra-oral capture hood, the second path being located between the first cone and second cone. A disconnect is connected to at least one of the first cone or second cone, the disconnect being configured to connect the extra-oral capture hood to a duct, a valve or other component of a capture system.
FILTERING FACEPIECE RESPIRATOR
Provided is a filtering facepiece respirator. The respirator includes a mask body having an anterior side portion, a posterior side portion, a middle portion, a first side portion, a second side portion, a top side portion, a bottom side portion and outer edge portions. The respirator further includes a primary port positioned at the anterior middle portion of the mask body and a detachable primary port adapter which is positioned over and engages the primary port. The respirator may further include an oxygen port and oxygen port adapter and a luer port and luer port adapter.
ANTI-AEROSOLIZING TENT
A shielding device movable between a folded configuration, in which the shielding device is stored, and an expanded configuration, in which the shielding device is configured to be positioned over a patient to prevent a spread of aerosolized particles. The shielding device includes a flexible material configured to be movable between the folded configuration and the expanded configuration to form a tent portion, a wall of the tent portion defining an interior space within which the patient is received in an operative configuration and a tensile frame including a plurality of struts, each connected to a portion of the flexible material and biased toward the expanded configuration, in which each of the struts provide a tension across the portion of the flexible material to which it is connected, the struts being deformable toward the folded configuration so that portions of the flexible material may be folded against itself.
PATIENT INTUBATING PARTITION SPHERE
A disposable, isolating intubation device is described, the device comprising a flexible, spherical compartment inflatable from a collapsible state, the flexible, spherical compartment being substantially transparent and having a closed end and an open end distal from the closed end defining an inside volume for receiving a head, shoulders and a portion of a torso of a patient and methods of using.
