A cargo handling system is disclosed. In various embodiments, the system includes a wireless mobile maintenance display unit; a line replaceable unit; a data device configured to provide an operational status data concerning the line replaceable unit to the wireless mobile maintenance display unit; a first server configured to store a catalog of parts for repairing the line replaceable unit; and a system controller configured to communicate with a source of replacement parts for the line replaceable unit.
SYSTEM CONSISTING OF CATCH ELEMENTS AND FREIGHT CARRIERS
A system includes a freight carrier, front catch element and rear catch element, the front edge of the base element of the freight carrier having front engagement elements, and the rear edge has rear engagement elements. The front catch element has front floor engagement devices to engage locking elements so movement of the front catch element in the floor surface plane and perpendicular thereto is prevented. The front catch element has front engagement devices to engage the front engagement elements. The rear catch element has rear floor engagement devices to engage locking elements in rails so movement of the rear catch element in the floor surface plane and perpendicularly thereto is prevented. The rear catch element has rear engagement devices to engage the rear engagement elements so movement of the rear catch element relative to the base element parallel to the plane of the supporting surface and perpendicular to the plane towards the supporting surface is prevented.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR RESTRAINING CARGO ON AIRCRAFT LOADING SYSTEMS USING INDEXING MECHANISMS
A cargo restraint system includes a driving shaft, a first restraint, and a second restraint. The first restraint is operatively coupled to the driving shaft via a first indexing mechanism arrangement. The second restraint is operatively coupled to the driving shaft via a second indexing mechanism arrangement. The first and second indexing mechanism arrangements are arranged such that rotation of the driving shaft in a first rotational direction causes the first restraint to rotate between a lowered position and a raised position, and further rotation of the driving shaft in the same rotational direction causes the second restraint to rotate between the lowered position and the raised position. The first restraint may be axially offset from the second restraint to allow sequential loading and unloading of cargo.
Transport Pallet
Transport pallet consisting of a first and second opposite short side and a first and second opposite long side. The bearing surface is constituted by a framework consisting of a number of mutually parallel extending elongate ribs and a number of mutually parallel extending transversal ribs extending perpendicularly to the elongate ribs. A number of legs are formed as an extension of the ribs and extend downward from the bearing surface and mutually distributed below the same. The short sides are similarly formed with fork lift pockets. The rib extension is formed with an inclination, so that the legs narrow in a direction away from the pallet underside.
SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND VEHICLES FOR TRANSPORTING LARGE CARGO ONTO AND OFF A TRANSPORT VEHICLE
Systems, methods, and vehicles for loading and unloading cargo from a long-distance transport vehicle, such as an aircraft, are described. The systems and methods include operating a plurality of vehicles to unload large cargo from the aircraft and transporting the large cargo to an installation site. In some instances, the vehicles hold the payload the entire time, including while loading aircraft, during flight, unloading the aircraft, and moving the payload to the installation site. Alternatively, the vehicles can drive on the plane to load the payload to a designated area, and equivalent vehicles can drive on the plane after the payload has been flown to unload the payload and moving the payload to the installation site. Various vehicles and systems, and components thereof, along with methods of operating the same, are also provided.
FREIGHT CARRIER FOR ACCOMMODATION IN THE CARGO HOLD OF AN AIRCRAFT
A load carrier for an aircraft cargo hold includes a bottom element with a support surface, the load carrier being movable over a floor surface in a floor plane while the support surface faces the floor surface, the bottom element having a base surface. The support surface has rolling elements rotatable about a rotation axis oriented where a parallel to the axis runs parallel to the floor plane, and the rolling elements being retained on the bottom element where the rotation axis of each of the rolling elements can be rotated about a vertical axis running perpendicularly to the floor plane. A load carrier can include a bottom element, the support surface of which has outlet openings, through which air can exit from the support surface to form an air cushion under the support surface. A load carrier can include a bottom element the support surface of which has slider elements.
Restraint System Utilizing Co-Axial Actuation
A cargo restraint system may comprise an inner shaft and a first outer tube coaxially configured to rotate about an axis and a first restraint located about the first outer tube and configured to rotate about the axis. A second outer tube coupled to the inner shaft configured to rotate about the axis and a second restraint located about the second outer tube and configured to rotate about the axis. The first restraint and the second restraint may include a head configured to rotate about the axis and a plunger configured to translate between an engaged state and a disengaged state.
TOGGLE LOCK RESTRAINT FOR AIRCRAFT CARGO HANDLING SYSTEMS
A cargo restraint that accommodates restraining ULDs having a distorted or elevated retention base is disclosed (e.g., a retention base that is spaced above a conveyor plane, for instance coinciding with a cargo deck). An outer pawl includes at least one pivot that is maintained in a fixed location on the outer pawl, and that is movable along a slot to change the elevation of the pivot (and the elevation of a restraining head of the outer pawl when in an erected position). Movement of the pivot along the slot first allows the restraining head of the outer pawl to be positioned above a retention base of a ULD, including when the retention base is at an elevated position. Further movement of the pivot along the slot allows the restraining head of the outer pawl to engage and move the retention base of the ULD toward/to the conveyor plane.
Aircraft loading system
An aircraft loading system is configured to tether equipment within an aircraft. The loading system has a wedge shaped bracket that has a front plate joined to two side plates and a bottom plate. A middle plate is parallel to the front plate and joins the two side plates. A front opening is arranged through the bottom plate between the front plate and the middle plate. The front opening is configured to accommodate an attachment ring. The attachment ring is used to tether the equipment within the aircraft.
Systems and Methods for Securely Monitoring a Shipping Container for an Environmental Anomaly
Systems and methods are described for securely monitoring a shipping container for an environmental anomaly using elements of a wireless node network of sensor-based ID nodes disposed within the container and a command node associated with the container. The method has the command node identifying which of the ID nodes are confirmed as trusted sensors based upon a security credential specific to each of the ID nodes; monitoring only the confirmed ID nodes for sensor data broadcast those ID nodes; detecting the anomaly based upon the sensor data from at least one of the confirmed ID nodes; automatically generating an alert notification related to the detected environmental anomaly for the shipping container; and transmitting the alert notification to the external transceiver to initiate a mediation response related to the detected environmental anomaly.
