Projection system for translucent displays and methods of operating thereof
A system is provided. The system includes a translucent display positioned such that a first face is a display face and that a second face is a projection face and at least one projector configured to project an image on the second face of the translucent display. The image is displayed on the first face. The system also includes at least one sensor configured to transmit a signal when triggered and a projector controller in communication with the at least one projector and the at least one sensor. The projector controller is programmed to receive a signal from the at least one sensor and instruct the at least one projector to project at least one image on the translucent display in response to the signal from the at least one sensor.
FLIGHT DATA AGGREGATION SYSTEM INCLUDING PORTABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICES
A flight data aggregation system for a plurality of aircraft includes one or more portable electronic devices in electronic communication with one or more central computers. The one or more portable electronic devices each monitor flight data from a corresponding aircraft. The one or more portable electronic devices analyze the flight data in real-time to determine an insight event indicating an incident of significance is presently occurring upon the corresponding aircraft. Each central computer includes one or more processors and a memory coupled to the one or more processors. The central computers are caused to receive the flight data collected during the insight event from an individual portable electronic device. The central computers determine overall flight data patterns based on the flight data collected during the insight event received from the individual portable electronic device and historical data stored in the one or more databases.
BEVERAGE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
A system for beverage management. The system includes at least one receptacle for receiving a beverage, said receptacle comprising at least one identification means that is configured to identify the type of beverage provided in the at least one receptacle. The system further comprises a trolley comprising at least one identification reader that is configured to read the identification means to determine the beverage present in the at least one receptacle, said trolley further comprising a weight sensor configured to determine the weight of the at least one receptacle. The system further includes a central programming unit configured to determine if the beverage within the at least one receptacle is below a pre-determined volume threshold based on the identity of the beverage and the weight value.
Low-profile electronic device holding assembly for vehicles
A holding assembly for holding portable electronic devices increases passenger convenience and comfort. The holding assembly comprises a plurality of independently movable planar members that engage one or more portable electronic devices to hold the portable electronic devices. The planar members may each be moved between a first position and a second position. A portion of the holding assembly may be received within an open portion of a planar member to provide a low-profile geometry. The holding assembly may be opened to hold a portable electronic device and closed when not in use in this manner.
Wireless cabin control panels
A wireless aircraft cabin control panel is disclosed. In embodiments, the wireless aircraft cabin control panel includes a user interface device disposed on a first surface of a bulkhead of an aircraft cabin. In embodiments, the user interface includes a display device, a user input device, wireless communication circuitry, and a controller. The controller may be configured to: generate control signals configured to cause the wireless communication circuitry to transmit wireless control signals to wireless communication circuitry of a control unit disposed on a second surface of the bulkhead; receive power via wireless charging signals received from the wireless communication circuitry of the control unit; distribute power from the wireless charging signals to the display device; extract data signals encoded within the wireless charging signals; and cause the display device to display at least one of an indicator or an image in response to the extracted data signals.
Fulfilling Item Requests on an Aircraft Based on a Zoning Definition for the Aircraft
Technology is described for processing requested items on an aircraft. A server onboard the aircraft may identify a zoning definition for the aircraft that divides aircraft seating into a plurality of service zones. The server may receive a request for an item from a client device onboard the aircraft. The request may include a delivery location within one of the service zones of the aircraft. The server may assign the request to a crew member identifier (ID) based in part on the delivery location and the zoning definition for the aircraft. The server may transmit the request to a fulfillment computing device associated with the crew member ID.
AIRCRAFT LAVATORY UNIT
Provided is an Aircraft Lavatory Unit 20 that ensures lavatory user comfort while facilitating diaper changing.
The Aircraft Lavatory Unit 20 includes a Diaper Changing Table 10 on which an infant can be placed and which can be selectively changed between a Housed State in which the Diaper Changing Table 10 is housed in a Wall Surface and a Pulled-Out State in which the Diaper Changing Table 10 is pulled out from the Wall Surface; and a display 25 which is disposed to face the Diaper Changing Table 10 in the Pulled-Out State and display still images or videos.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR IDENTIFYING AND ADDRESSING PASSENGER ISSUES IN AN AIRCRAFT
Disclosed are methods and systems for identifying and addressing passenger issues in an aircraft. For instance, the method may include receiving sensor data corresponding to one or more sensors associated with a passenger compartment of the aircraft, analyzing the received sensor data to determine a condition of the passenger compartment of the aircraft, identifying one or more passenger issues occurring in the aircraft, and determining one or more response options to address the one or more passenger issues, based at least in part on the one or more passenger issues and an operational parameter of the aircraft. The method may further include communicating, the one or more passenger issues and the one or more response options to a passenger user interface or a ground control station and modifying an operation of the aircraft in accordance with one or more of the one or more response options.
MULTIMEDIA SERVER INTENDED TO BE INSTALLED ON BOARD AN AIRCRAFT, ELECTRONIC ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM COMPRISING SUCH A SERVER, METHOD FOR CONFIGURING SOFTWARE OF SUCH A SERVER AND ASSOCIATED COMPUTER PROGRAM
This multimedia multimedia server for installation on board an aircraft comprises at least one network switch card configured to manage communications with at least one network of an on-board local-area network and an external communication network; and at least one other electronic card selected from the group consisting of: a data storage card and a compute card. At least one network switch card also includes a software configuration module suited to obtain a list of software function(s) to be installed on at least one other electronic card; to download, from electronic equipment external to the multimedia server the one or more software functions from the list obtained; and to provide the corresponding downloaded software functions to each other respective electronic card.
