An articulating shelf is disclosed herein including a first shelf portion having a first edge and an opposing second edge, a first hinge coupled the first edge of the first shelf portion, a second hinge coupled to the second edge of the first shelf portion, a second shelf portion having a first edge and an opposing second edge, the second edge of the second shelf portion coupled to the second hinge, a rod having a first end and an opposing second end, a rod support having a first end and a second send, the first end of the rod support coupled to the second edge of the second shelf portion and the second end of the rod support coupled to the rod between the first and the second ends of the rod, and an end cap including a plunger configured to extend and retract from the end cap.
Molded laminated structure with negative draft angles and associated methods of manufacturing
Disclosed herein is a molded laminated structure having negative draft angles and methods of manufacturing a molded laminated structure having negative draft angles. A preliminary structure having a first outer layer and a second outer layer is molded with a bend that divides the preliminary structure into two sections with an angle between the two sections of less than 180-degrees. Portions that extends from the sections are at positive draft angles. A groove is formed in the preliminary structure at the bend but not formed in a constant cross-section of the second outer layer. The preliminary structure is folding along the bend to at least partially close the groove and form a molded laminated structure with portions that extend at a negative draft configuration while retaining the second outer layer continuous throughout the molded laminated structure.
LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT, CABIN COMPONENT ASSEMBLY AND AIRCRAFT
A luggage compartment, for use in a vehicle, having a housing with an inner volume defining a storage space of the luggage compartment and a flap which is attached to the housing with at least one fastening device. The fastening device has a first portion attached to the flap and a second portion, wherein the second portion of the fastening device is releasably coupled to the first portion of the fastening device and attached to an outer surface of a top wall of the housing. Also a cabin component assembly with the luggage compartment and a ceiling panel arranged adjacent to the top wall of the housing of the luggage compartment and an aircraft with the cabin component assembly.
Integrated stowage bin assembly
A stowage bin assembly includes a bin bucket assembly having a bin bucket which includes at least one sidewall, the at least one sidewall including a notch and the at least one sidewall having an interior surface. The stowage bin assembly also includes at least one hinge assembly. The at least one hinge assembly includes a housing which is received in the notch, the housing having an interior surface, wherein the interior surface of the housing is substantially flush with the interior surface of the at least one sidewall when the housing of the at least one hinge assembly is received in the notch. The stowage bin assembly also includes a stowage bin door pivotably coupled to the bin bucket assembly via the at least one hinge assembly, the stowage bin door moveable between an open position and a closed position. Related components, assemblies, and devices are also provided.
AIRCRAFT SANITIZATION SYSTEMS AND DEVICES
An aircraft sanitization system is disclosed. The aircraft sanitization system includes a frame and a tray that is operatively coupled to at least first two corners of the frame and is rotatable about a pivot axis. The tray is configured to be in one of a locked state and an unlocked state based on rotation about the pivot axis. In the unlocked state the tray is at an angle greater than zero with respect to the frame and in the locked state the tray is at an angle equal to zero with respect to the frame. The aircraft sanitization system further includes a set of Ultraviolet (UV) Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) attached on an exposed surface of the frame. The set of UV LEDs is configured to sanitize the tray when the tray is in the locked state.
AIRCRAFT SANITIZATION SYSTEMS AND DEVICES
An aircraft sanitization system is disclosed. The aircraft sanitization system includes an armrest comprising a pocket, a top lid, and a retractable mechanism. The pocket is configured to store a tray and the top lid is covers the pocket. The retractable mechanism enclosed in the pocket includes a first end removably attached to the tray and a second end fixed within the pocket. The retractable mechanism is configured to extract the tray from the pocket in an open state and retract the tray into the pocket in a closed state. The aircraft sanitization system further includes a first set of Ultraviolet (UV) Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) affixed on each inner wall of the pocket.
