A raceway system and method within an internal cabin of an aircraft include a plurality of routing modules that are coupled together. Each of the plurality of routing modules includes a main housing that routes one or more transferring components to one or more monuments within the internal cabin. A raceway system and method for an aircraft includes a transferring component attachment system that includes a plurality of transferring component support struts, and one or more transferring components coupled to the plurality of transferring component support struts.

Overhead payload module with integrated stowbins

In an example, an overhead payload module is described. The overhead payload module comprises a ceiling assembly, an aisle floor assembly, a first payload assembly attached to the ceiling assembly and the aisle floor assembly to form a first side of the overhead payload module, and a second payload assembly attached to the ceiling assembly and the aisle floor assembly to form a second side of the overhead payload module. The first payload assembly comprises a first payload module and a first overhead stowbin module structurally integrated with the first payload module and having a first stowage area configured to receive stowbins. The second payload assembly is positioned opposite the first payload assembly to form an aisle therebetween and comprises a second payload module and a second overhead stowbin module structurally integrated with the second payload module and having a second stowage area configured to receive stowbins.

Methods for arranging passenger seats and passenger service units in aircraft cabins
10850852 · 2020-12-01 · ·

Disclosed are methods for arranging passenger seats and passenger service units in aircraft cabins as well as locating devices used in these methods. These methods and devices provide fast and efficient ways for directly referencing the position of each passenger service unit relative to a corresponding passenger seat. For example, a passenger seat is positioned on a seat rail using rail markers. Each set of markers corresponds to a different seating configuration. A locating device is then placed on the passenger seat such that the device datum contacts the seat cushion. A locator of the locating device determines a reference, in an overhead compartment, for installing a passenger service unit, corresponding to this seat. The reference is based on an angle between the datum and the locator, which is adjustable in some examples.

Monument mounted airbag

A monument mounted airbag system for arresting passenger movement during a sudden acceleration/deceleration event of a moving vehicle includes an airbag assembly including at least one airbag on a first portion of a monument structure, the airbag assembly having a housing at least partially defined by a space between an external member and the monument structure.

Cabin monument for an aircraft

A cabin monument for an aircraft includes a floor panel, which forms a base surface of the cabin monument, and a surrounding sidewall which defines an interior space of the cabin monument. The surrounding sidewall is assembled from a first wall part and a second wall part which is coupled to this. Provision is made on at least one of the wall parts for a fixing section which is overlapped by the floor panel. Also described is an aircraft which features such a cabin monument.

Slim Aircraft Monument with Deployable Workstation

A slim aircraft monument is disclosed. In embodiments, the monument is installable in an aircraft passenger cabin adjacent to a cabin space (e.g., in front of an otherwise unused exit door). The slim monument has an overall width of not more than four inches. The slim monument includes a side door with an external handle, the door deployable into the cabin space to reveal a group of nested interconnected panels within. The nested panels are similarly deployable into the cabin space to form a substantially horizontal work surface and, underneath the work surface, vertically stacked bays providing temporary storage for storage drawers and a cart space adjacent to the storage drawers, the cart space capable of accommodating a half-size galley cart.

A monument has a connection device, a fluid source and a compartment for the installation of a modular unit. The connection device is intended for connecting the fluid source to a modular unit installed in the compartment. The connection device includes two line sections. It is connected to the fluid source via one line section and can be connected to a modular unit via the other line section. The connection device is arranged so as to be displaced in the compartment on a predefined track between a connection position and an operating position. In the connection position the connection device is further from the rear end of the compartment than in the operating position. The connection device can be connected, in the connection position, via the second line section to a modular unit arranged outside the compartment. Also described is a system including a monument and a modular unit.

AIRCRAFT CABINET COMPRISING AT LEAST ONE FLIGHT-DATA DISPLAY SCREEN AND AT LEAST ONE AVIONICS MODULE

A cabinet comprising at least one screen allowing display of data necessary for a flight-control of an aircraft connected to at least one avionics module for management of the data. The screen at least partially forms one of the sides of the cabinet and the module or modules are installed inside the cabinet. The cabinet has a base allowing the screen or screens to be placed at a desired height. As a result, a length of cable between screen and avionics modules is reduced to a minimum.

Aircraft Monument Composite Construction Using Carbon Uni-Directional Spread Flat Tow Woven Fabric
20200346429 · 2020-11-05 ·

A construction of commercial aircraft interior monument employs carbon fiber Spread Tow Fabric (STF) as face sheets (skins) surrounding a paper honeycomb or foam core to produce flat pressed panels of high strength and desirable thickness. Each individual panel is joined with other panels to construct a modular rectangular cubic able to be modularly coupled with additional structures to form the aircraft monument. The use individual STF panels offer a desirable weight and footprint of a fabricated structure as a whole. Also usable in conjunction with other composite reinforcements, the individual STF panels produce hybrid lay-ups for both pressed flat panel and tooled composite moldings offering a high strength to weight ratio of the overall monument.

Augmented reality system for pilot and passengers

The present disclosure achieves technical advantages as an aircraft having an augmented reality flight control system integrated with and operable from the pilot seat and an associated pilot headgear unit, wherein the flight control system is supplemented by flight-assisting artificial intelligence and geo-location systems. The present disclosure includes an augmented reality flight control system incorporating real-world objects with virtual elements to provide relevant data to a pilot during aircraft flight. A translucent substrate is disposed in the pilot's field of view such that the pilot can see therethrough, and observe virtual elements displayed on the substrate. The system includes a headgear that is worn by the pilot. A flight assistance module is configured to receive data related to the aircraft and provide predictive assistance to the pilot during flight based on the received data based in part on a pilot profile having preferences related to the pilot.
