Fixture for a lamp, and lighting element
A fixture for a lamp and to a lighting element are provided that is usable as a reading light, for example in a vehicle or aircraft. The fixture is adapted to be releasably installed in an opening of an accommodating element and includes a cylindrical mounting element having a lateral wall, a front side, and an opposite rear side. The front side has an opening for receiving the lamp. The lateral wall has a radially outwardly projecting rib and a radially outwardly projecting latching element.
AIRCRAFT PASSENGER SERVICE UNIT
An aircraft passenger service unit includes infrared sensor configured for detecting infrared radiation and for providing a corresponding sensor output, and a controller, which is configured for receiving and evaluating the sensor output provided by the infrared sensor. The infrared sensor is an infrared sensor array configured for detecting infrared radiation emitted within a plurality of spatial sectors covering a detection area below the aircraft passenger service unit; and the infrared sensor array is configured for detecting the infrared radiation individually for each spatial sector and for providing individual sensor signals for the plurality of spatial sectors. The infrared sensor array is configured such that each passenger seat arranged within the detection area is covered by at least two of the plurality of spatial sectors, respectively; and the controller is configured for determining a passenger seating position within a passenger seat from the individual sensor signals.
Passenger service unit with cover
A passenger service unit assembly that includes a frame that defines at least an oxygen opening and a service opening, an oxygen mask housing positioned adjacent the oxygen opening, an oxygen mask housing cover positioned to cover the oxygen opening, and a service cover positioned to cover the service opening. An oxygen mask that is movable between a stowed position and a deployed position is positioned in the oxygen mask housing. The oxygen mask housing cover maintains the oxygen mask in the stowed position. The oxygen mask housing cover is movable between a closed position and an open position. When the oxygen mask housing cover is moved to the deployed position, the oxygen mask drops to the deployed position via gravity. The service cover is movable between a closed position and an open position and includes at least a first passenger service unit component associated therewith.
FASTENING SYSTEM FOR FASTENING AN OBJECT IN A VEHICLE
A fastening system for fastening an object in a vehicle, in particular in an aircraft comprises at least one rail which is arranged on the vehicle side, and an object which is to be releasably fastened on the rail. The object can be positively fixed on the rail by way of at least one fastening device which is arranged on the object side. Spring means are provided on the fastening device, and these produce a non-positive fit between the fastening device and the rail, given a positive arrangement of the fastening device on the rail.
ILLUMINATION SYSTEM AND MOBILE BODY
An illumination system includes: a seat; a wall; and a sleep control light for controlling sleep, wherein the seat includes a backrest and a seating portion, and makes a transition between a seated state and a lying state when the backrest and the seating portion make a slide movement, the seated state being a state where a minor angle formed between the backrest and the seating portion is a first angle, the lying state being a state where the minor angle is a second angle greater than the first angle, an optical axis of the sleep control light is tilted downward with respect to the horizontal plane, the sleep control light is located behind or above the seat when the seat is in the seated state, and the optical axis of the sleep control light passes through the backrest when the seat is in the lying state.
Direction controlled service apparatus
A direction controlled service apparatus may include a mounting assembly, a housing assembly configured to operably connect to the mounting assembly, the housing assembly being movable with respect to the mounting assembly, and a plurality of actuators connected between the mounting assembly and the housing assembly, each actuator of the plurality of actuators being configured to contract upon a current being applied to the actuator to rotate the housing assembly with respect to the mounting assembly.
SANITIZING SYSTEM
A sanitizing system includes a plurality of ultraviolet (UV) lamps mounted at various locations within an internal cabin of a vehicle. The UV lamps are configured to receive electrical power from a power source onboard the vehicle and to emit UV light into the internal cabin on a continuous basis during a trip of the vehicle. The UV lamps are positioned such that the emitted UV light disinfects air within the internal cabin.
AIRCRAFT PASSENGER SERVICE UNIT HEALTH MONITORING SYSTEM
A passenger service unit health monitoring system includes a cardiorespiratory sensor unit, a temperature sensor, and one or more controllers having one or more processors configured to execute a set of program instructions maintained in one or more memory units, wherein the set of program instructions is configured to cause the one or more processors to: receive one or more signals from at least one of the temperature sensor or the cardiorespiratory sensor unit indicative of one or more physiological states of the subject; measure one or more physiological states of the subject based on the one or more signals indicative of one or more physiological states of the subject; determine one or more physiological interventions based on the one or more physiological states of the subject; and transmit one or more signals instructive of the one or more physiological interventions.
DEPLOYABLE ULTRAVIOLET SANITATION SYSTEM FOR AN AIRCRAFT
A sanitation system includes an overhead passenger service unit panel with a concealed light source providing a single wavelength of Ultraviolet light wherein the light source is deployed and sanitation is performed when the aircraft cabin is free of commercial passengers.
AREA LIGHT INTEGRATED IN A CABIN FURNISHING ELEMENT
A cabin furnishing element for a cabin, such as a cabin of an aircraft, includes a panel having a panel body. The panel body includes an illumination surface having an illumination zone, and defines a lighting recess within the panel body relative to the illumination surface. The panel also includes a lighting system having a light source assembly and a light guide. The light source assembly and light guide are retained within the lighting recess defined by the panel body. The lighting system is adapted to selectively illuminate a portion of the illumination zone.
