Apparatus and method for providing attitude reference for vehicle passengers
A system and method. The system may include a monitor implemented as a virtual window, a camera, an additional camera, a processor, and a switch. The processor may be configured to: receive video from the additional camera; manipulate the video from the additional camera based on a position of the passenger to provide an additional camera manipulated video stream; and output the additional camera manipulated video stream. The switch may be configured to: when the passenger is in a first position, feed video from the camera to the monitor; and when the passenger is in a second position, feed the additional camera manipulated video stream to the monitor.
Image processing system
Higher-resolution imagery of an airport runway can be provided from the pilot's point of view. Pilot point of view images may be generated using images captured by higher-resolution ground-based cameras. The images from the ground-based cameras are fed to a point of view processor that generates the pilot point of view images using aircraft position information. The pilot point of view images are transmitted to a display on the aircraft.
Integrated Micro-LED Luminous Aircraft Panel
An integrated aircraft lighting and display panel includes high-density arrays of micro-scale light-emitting diodes (LED) set into a flexible printed circuit board (PCB). The PCB and LED arrays may be set into structural layers corresponding to overhead panels, side panels, bin panels, divider panels, doorway panels, or other interior structural panels of the aircraft. The LED arrays may be activated by a controller to provide cabin lighting, indicate aircraft signage, display high-resolution image or video graphics, or any simultaneous combination of all three. The panel may have a translucent or transparent decorative outer skin which may mimic the outward appearance of wood, stone, bamboo, or other decorative materials while the integrated lighting and display panels are inactive. Highly reflective core materials, such as an aluminum core in a honeycomb pattern, may guide the luminous output of the LED arrays through the outer skin.
Light box
A lightbox is disclosed herein, comprising a lower panel, a back panel connected to the lower panel and extending upward from the lower panel, wherein the back panel is coated in a reflective material, an inner lens connected to the lower panel and extending upward from the lower panel, the inner lens being adjacent the back panel, a first cavity at least partially defined by the back panel and the inner lens, an outer lens connected to the lower panel and extending upward from the lower panel, the outer lens being adjacent the inner lens and opposite the back panel, and a first LED adjacent the lower panel and oriented to emit a light away from the lower panel and into the first cavity.
BALLOON SYSTEM AND/OR METHOD FOR BALLOON STAND-UP
The system 100 can include a balloon system 110 and a set of spools 120. The system can optionally include a set of actuators 130. However, the system 100 can additionally or alternatively include any other suitable set of components. The system can function to facilitate balloon launch preparation and/or launch of a balloon vehicle system. The system can additionally function to facilitate controlled stand-up of a balloon.
Vehicle with a Simulated Window Feature
An example of operating a display system of a lavatory of a vehicle is provided. The method includes: (i) receiving, at a controller, information indicating that the lavatory is in use; (ii) in response to receiving the information, operating, by the controller, the display system in a first state while the lavatory is in use; (iii) determining, by the controller, that the lavatory is no longer in use; and (iv) in response to determining that the lavatory is no longer in use, operating, by the controller, the display system in a second state.
AEROSPACE VEHICLE SYSTEM AND METHOD OF OPERATION
An aerospace vehicle system, preferably including one or more capsules, and optionally including one or more propulsion modules and/or safety modules. A capsule, preferably including a pressure vessel including a structural frame and one or more windows, and optionally including a cabin. In alternate embodiments, the system can additionally or alternatively function as a terrestrial vehicle, a watercraft, and/or any other suitable vehicle. A method of operation, preferably including operating the aerospace vehicle system in flight, while maintaining a pressure differential between the pressure vessel interior and an environment surrounding the system.
Interactive sidewall display system and method
There is described a system and method for setting virtual boundaries on an interactive sidewall display system in a vehicle, the virtual boundaries defining individual passenger-specific regions for user interaction.
Apparatus and method for providing attitude reference for vehicle passengers
A system. The system may include at least one monitor mounted on a wall panel. The wall panel may be within an interior of an aircraft. Each of the at least one monitor may be configured to mimic an aircraft window. Each of the at least one monitor may include a shade feature.
