SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SUPPRESSING FIRE IN AN ENCLOSED COMPONENT WITHIN A VEHICLE
A vehicle includes an internal cabin. An enclosed component is within the internal cabin. The enclosed component includes an intumescent coating. As an example, the enclosed component is a lavatory within the internal cabin. As another example, the enclosed component is a waste compartment. As another example, the enclosed component is a grille within a door.
WATER LEAK DETECTION SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AN INTERNAL CABIN OF AN AIRCRAFT
A vehicle includes an internal cabin. One or more areas are within the internal cabin. The one or more areas include one or more water-drawing components. A water supply system is within the internal cabin. The water supply system is configured to provide water to the one or more water-drawing components. A water leak detection system includes one or more sensing devices configured to detect water flow from the water supply system to the one or more water-drawing components. One or more shut-off valves are disposed on or within the water supply system. A control unit is in communication with the one or more sensing devices, the one or more shut-off valves, and the one or more water-drawing components. The control unit is configured to operate the one or more shut-off valves to stop the supply of water to the one or more water-drawing components in response to the one or more sensing devices detecting the water flow when the one or more water-drawing components are not in use.
DUAL CHANNEL RINSE RING SYSTEM FOR TOILET
A rinse ring system for use on a toilet. The rinse ring is a dual channel rinse ring, which allows the toilet to be flushed with either potable water from a fresh water system or with grey water from a grey water source. Other flush fluids are possible for use. The dual channel rinse ring provides separation between entry points for potable water rinse and the grey water rinse, preventing the possibility of contamination of the potable water source with grey water.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR HARVESTING WATER FROM AIR
An integrated system for harvesting water from air includes an air propelling unit, a water condensation unit, and a fog harvester. The water condensation unit receives propelled air from the air propelling unit, and includes an airfoil designed to locally reduce pressure and temperature, thereby promoting water vapor condensation within the received propelled air. The fog harvester receives the propelled air with condensed water from the water condensation unit and collects the condensed water.
Methods and systems for supplying water to an aircraft
There are described methods and systems for supplying water to an aircraft. A water supply assembly is fluidly coupled to a water storage tank via a supply line. An overflow line is fluidly coupled to the water supply assembly. One or more sensors are configured to determine an amount of water in the water storage tank. One or more processors are communicative with the one or more sensors and configured to: determine a desired amount of water to be contained in the water storage tank; determine from the one or more sensors that an amount of water in the water storage tank corresponds to the desired amount of water; and, in response to determining that the amount of water in the water storage tank corresponds to the desired amount of water, transmit an instruction for causing water being supplied from the water supply assembly to the water storage tank to be diverted to the overflow line.
222 NM EXCIMER BULB FOR UV LIGHT DISINFECTION: ENERGY HARVESTING DUAL PURPOSE MONITORING TEMPERATURE AS A PHM SENSOR
A system for monitoring an excimer bulb includes a thermoelectric energy harvester configured to be located adjacent to the excimer bulb and to convert thermal energy from the excimer bulb into electrical energy having a voltage. The system further includes a controller in electrical communication with the thermoelectric energy harvester and configured to calculate at least one of a remaining useful life of the excimer bulb or a current temperature of the excimer bulb based on the voltage of the electrical energy converted by the thermoelectric energy harvester.
Aircraft cabin comprising a cargo area intended to accommodate passengers
An aircraft cabin includes an upper deck, and a cargo area. The cargo area is configured to accommodate at least one passenger and is situated at a different level than the upper deck. An accessway provides access between the upper deck and the cargo area. The upper deck has, at least locally, a raised floor in the vicinity of the accessway so that at least one part of the cargo area has a ceiling height higher than the ceiling height of the rest of the area cargo.
