Overhead flow distribution assembly for aircraft cabin
An overhead flow distribution assembly for an aircraft cabin, including a conduit defining a plenum having an inlet, upper outlets and lower outlets, the upper outlets spaced apart from each other along a longitudinal direction of the aircraft, the lower outlets spaced apart from each other along the longitudinal direction, the inlet being located between the upper outlets and the lower outlets, and a baffle extending within the plenum along the longitudinal direction, the baffle being located between the upper outlets and at least part of the inlet along a transverse direction normal to the longitudinal direction, the baffle having openings defined therethrough, the baffle configured to restrict airflow from the at least part of the inlet toward the upper outlets. A method of balancing a flow in an overhead flow distribution assembly for an aircraft cabin is also discussed.
Defrosting a drain hole
The invention relates to an assembly (10) for a turbomachine comprising a pipe (12) connected at one end (12a) to means (14) for supplying pressurized air and at one opposite end (12b) to an item of equipment (16) of the turbomachine, the pipe (12) having a bent portion (12c) intended for forming in use a low point of the pipe (12), said bent portion (12c) having a hole (18) for first draining water from the pipe (12), wherein it further comprises an orifice (20) arranged downstream of the drain hole (18).

LAVATORY HAND DRYER
A hand drying system for an aircraft lavatory includes a hand blower tap with an inlet configured to connect to an aircraft environmental control system (ECS) to receive a flow of conditioned air from the ECS. A valve is operatively connected to the inlet to selectively block flow from the ECS and allow flow from the ECS through the hand blower tap.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MOVEABLY SUPPORTING AN ULTRAVIOLET (UV) LIGHT LAMP WITHIN AN ENCLOSED SPACE
A disinfecting system and method for an enclosed space include an articulating arm moveably coupled to a structure within the enclosed space. An ultraviolet (UV) lamp is coupled to the articulating arm. The UV lamp is configured to emit UV light toward a disinfection zone within the enclosed space. The articulating arm allows the UV lamp to move relative to the disinfection zone.

TURBOFAN ENGINE AND METHOD OF OPERATING SAME
The auxiliary duct can branch radially outwardly from the bypass duct, have a proximal end fluidly connecting the bypass duct and a distal end, a valve can be activatable to selectively open and close the auxiliary passage, and a structure can protrude partially from the auxiliary duct into the auxiliary passage, the structure spaced apart from the proximal end, between the proximal end and the valve, the structure generating lesser pressure losses when flow in the auxiliary passage is directed towards the distal end than when the flow is directed towards the proximal end.

Method for disinfecting an aircraft cabin using a lighting assembly and a lighting assembly therefor
A lighting assembly for an aircraft includes a visible light source generating visible light and an ultraviolet light source generating ultraviolet light. The visible light source is disposed adjacent to the ultraviolet light source. The visible light source illuminates a first illumination area with the visible light when the lighting assembly operates in a first operation mode. The ultraviolet light source illuminates a second illumination area with the ultraviolet light when the lighting assembly operates in a second mode of operation. The first illumination area substantially overlaps the second illumination area.
